I worked out a $20 discount with WordZe for SEOMoz readers. This is reduced from the normal price of $45. It only lasts two days, so take advantage of it quickly before the price goes up.
Just to refresh your memory, if you're wondering what WordZe is, it's a new keyword research tool. The benefits of this tool over others is:
- It's less expensive.
- Patented WordRank Technology to let you know how many links you need for your site to rank.
- Dig down on keywords more deeply than any other tool out there.
- Daily, weekly, and monthly top keywords.
- Historical keyword counts.
Now, the last time I posted about this I got a lot of flack about their data sources. Yes, I do happen to know what data sources WordZe has. However, it's competitive information and Levi has asked me not to disclose it.
I have been actively using this system and in various forums I've been reading various reviews. So far everything has been positive, with people saying they are either making or saving money with this tool.
Your mileage of course might vary, but I think it's worth your time to check it out.
Incidentally, I did a Keyword Tool Roundup that you might find interesting.

P.S. The link for wordze is just a discount code link. It's not an affiliate link, and other than being a user I have no benefit from providing the link :)
Just remember to cancel it manually. If you wish to cancel the cancellation link is on the signup page. (Just so you do'nt get surprise reoccuring charges))
Thanks, For $25 per month is not much to think about it :) (I did the full sign up and not the trial).
It's Saturday now and the discount is still good. I took immediately advantage of it of course. The best thing is that it is not a discount for a month or a few months, but for life. Thanks Rand. I appreciate it. Cheers! Carsten
In the event anyone else missed my post above. I do NOT own Wordze anylonger. It was sold to a company called Simpio based out of TX back in 2009. The new CEO is Bradley Markham. How they run the site has nothing to do with me at all!
I signed up for the "free 30 day trial", and guess what?
I couldn't cancel the trial! There was no actual "cancel trial" button anywhere.
I tried it free for 30 days alright!! Then I got billed!
I also tried to contact support on numerous occassions - none of which got an answer.
Once the trial finished, magically the cancel button appeared, AFTER I GOT BILLED.
Buyer beware.
Same thing happened to me. I tried to cancel within the trial period, but the option to cancel was not present in the Wordze interface.
When I finally was able to track down the CEO, he said he would resolve the issue. Guess what? I was charged $39.98 on my card three times anyway. I had to call my credit card company to dispute the charges.
Levi, is there any other way to pay for WordZe? I tried to subscribe for one month but apparently Romania is considered a high risk country so my transaction was rejected. I would love to try your tool if there is another way to pay with my card. I also sent a mail to [email protected].
Thanks, and I apologize if this is offtopic :)
FYI, Levi's out until tonite or tomorrow nite so his response might be a little bit delayed.

Sorry about that guys, my wife blindsided me with some event that I promised her I we would go to like 4 months ago. ;p
Alsuran; Put in a support ticket with your user name I can force your subscription into the system. I have been having some problems with NetBilling and countries that are on “BlackList”. Hope to have that fixed soon.
(Your email) I did not notice one, but I get like 2,000+ emails a day so unless its something that gets pass my spam filters I probably did not get it, sorry. Using the support system on Wordze is the best way to get in contact with me.
Come on! You don't answer your support emails at all if you run the wordze site! Do you run it? You never answer it. I keep complaining about your site all the time even though I am using it. I am spreading the bad word all over the net simply because you people don't care to answer your support emails. Why? Why do you want me to complain about your site to everyone and tell everyone how bad the customer service is?
@AlexKKK - This thread is from 2006. I sold Wordze over a year and a half ago to a company called Simpio, they are located in TX. The new CEO is now Bradley Markham.
I'm giving WordZe a try and so far I'm really impressed. If nothing else it's about a million times faster than the Overture tool and that is extremely helpful to me. Also, I like the data export abilities. Overall, I'm quite impressed so far and I'm looking forward to where this tool is going in the future. If I had to make one request it would be to have a few more ppc-centric competitive intelligence tools built in, such as what other people are bidding on, but otherwise, this is a great tool and I'm already getting a lot of use out of it.
What would be more interesting for me and some others
how usefull is this tool for the non-english market, Germany for example?
That is a very good question noobhatSEO,
Unfortunate I only speak English so my searching skills for non-English words are not that good as I have to use a translator.
Our database covers a majority market of English words, so you will not find large amount of data for lets say Germany, Denmark, Japan, etc. But it is something we are working on, along with LSI, soundex search, and industry based keywords.
Well that's the drawback of a lot of Tools.
I am pretty new with SEO and SEM, but i found out that alot of the great and and free tools advertised here and the other common places unfortunately work suboptimal for the german market I am in.
Couple this with my close to non-existent coding skill and no budget and I end up doing everything manual.
This said I rather "waste" my time then spent alot ( for me) money and still get inaccurate results.
I wait for the big moment when the seoMoz Keyword Tool finally gets the "select Country" button :)
That´s often annoys me. There are many good seo tools, but often only for the english speaking markets useful. Especially a good german keyword tool would be very helpful.
I am German (living in the US now) so I could test some stuff for you.
I can't imagine that nobody in Germany offers some keyword tools based on Google.de , Yahoo.de, Suchen.de etc. Data.
The Overture tool which is not the best, but free, shows non-us data. Also check Aaron's Keyword tool that uses Overture Data.
https://www.cumbrowski.com/CarstenC/seo_keywor...
I have a lot more tools listed on my site but never checked if they work for non-US markets. You might want to check them and find out yourself. I only remembered Aaron's tool.
Cheers, Carsten
G-man - I have to say I find a this a bit questionable.
this one especially seems hard to believe.
Also, the data sources being kept hidden makes it just like a slew of other tools that seem positive, but don't disclose enough to be of true value. If you could at least say "they buy from 12 different major ISPs, located in geographically diverse areas of the US" that would provide some minimum. I know others have felt this frustration, too.
That said - way to go scoring the discount for SEOmozzers. If I get a chance, I'll ask Jane to review it and compare it to the other KW tools we use.
That roundup link is good, too, though it would be awesome to see some numbers compared against real traffic data.
Actually G-man made a small mistake. The technology or rather method is patent pending. The end effect is not patentable, but the method is, and is what my patent application is based on as a better method to the current forms of link calculation and ranking. The validity of my patent pending status is very much true; otherwise it is a federal crime to make such a statement, and I can guarantee I would never put myself or my company in such a position.
As for our data sources; As G-Man noted I will not give out companies names, however we have 30 DS that we use at this point, that span the globe from UK and US, but are expanding the number on DS as we are able to obtain contracts for them.
I understand that many are expecting other keyword research services to follow in the footsteps of WordTracker. Unfortunate 1998 has passed and it is of most concerts that we protect our service and our users as best we can and not provide the information or the means for evil minded people to try and spike keyword list as they have done in the past with keyword research services that do give the names of their data sources.
To be honest, I'm not sure how one would go about comparing the numbers that the sources give with "real traffic data". The problem is that your results might be the same as that or less than that.
If it's less, that doesn't mean the source is inaccurate it could mean that other people got the traffic.
If it's more, it could mean that the estimate from x number of data sources to Google or whatever else you're comparing it to is flawed or slightly off.
There are also other factors that can affect the results - like people doing automated queries to check their stats. When they do those queries, most often they'll do them in the major search engines. They won't go for some of the smaller ones.
Occasionally, but not always, the contracts with the data sources are with smaller search engines. I can't say whether this is the case in Wordze's situation as I agreed not to disclose this.
I suppose that this put me in somewhat of a touch situation in that
A) I wanted to let people know about the tool because I think it's cool and also levi is a friend of mine. B) I agreed not to disclose the inner workings of his company.
I tried to play this one off in the best manner possible but perhaps there's room for improvement.
As always, however, don't take my word for it. Check the tool out for yourself and see if the results you get are helpful or not :)
G-Man
Didn't mean to come off as overly negative on you, Gman. I do appreciate the post (as always), I'm just a bit prickly about disclosure - being one of those "share way, way, way TMI" type guys :)
Certainly great to get your clarifications and Levi's.
Not a problem Rand,
I have fully expected to have questions or concerns like this, and I’m more then happy to answer what questions I can.
;) Levi
Nah, I didn't take it that way. Just wanted to make sure my position was fully explained :)
It's always a fine balance. I like to share as much as I can but in this particular case I just couldn't do as much as I wanted to.
G-Man
Tell me about it. I know more about Rand's abnormally sized body moles than I care to ever discuss. *shudder*
Nice find, thanks, I"ll have to put this one through the test... maybe alongside nichebot 2.....
Actually, this is a $10 discount as the monthly fee is normally $35 and not $45. Anyway, thanks for the discount! :)
Mmm it's discounted for a few days for the general public at release but the normal price is $45 so that is $20 off but I see what you're saying in that right *now* it's $10 off what you can get.
Hmm...bleh. Math sucks :)
While name of the DS might not be revealed it would beneficial to better understand their scale with some other statistics such as location and size. I'm all for tying something new but you'll have to entice me with some specifics before I blindly go tossing money at a mystery toy.
Thanks. I'll check it out.
Here are a few reasons why wordze sucks:
1. They never answer their support emails. I wrote them more than 3 times now. The whole week has passed and there is still no answer from them. I want to give them money to get a full membership, not just one month trial, but they still don't answer me! The bigger the company gets, the harder it is to knock on their door if you know what I mean.
2. They constantly have the same error message popping up on their wordrank tool. "Sorry, no results found..... and ... you have an error in your MySQL syntacs". Come on people, it is not like I am writing the database here. It is your problem, not mine.
3. Wordrank. YOu need to hit "get competition" button like 5 times to actually get your results and check the level of competition. It sucks so much! There are the results for every keyphrase you enter, but wordze needs you to get the same button 5 times, or something like that to actually get the results!
4. Wordrank's daily 20 keywords limit is so very much annoying! Why would you people do that?! I am willing to pay you bucks to use your tool and you make this 20 keyword daily limit. Gosh!
5. The company does not have a phone number to have. What the hell? come on people, how in the world do you make money after that. I cannot call them directly and tell them about my problem. I hate those sites where they don't let you immediately contact the site admin or someone. Does not matter. Sometimes you need help RIGHT AWAY!
So, even though the wordrank tool is really fantastic, I will never agree to pay them a dime simply because they got no customer support whatsoever! Don't expect them to answer you!
