A recent gap in SERPs between certain Google datacenters, mentioned at SEO-Scoop, lends further credence to the existence of a sandbox filter. Many sites that are suspected to be suffering from the filter were released in the SERPs at these locations and ranked highly - in the top 10 results - for their specific keyword phrases.
This phenomenon was shut down before it could be studied in depth, and the results are back to normal Google results. However, the damage has been done and it will be very difficult to convince the SEO community that this filter is a myth from now on.
In other news, the SEOSurvey blog will now be attempting to report daily, including weekends, starting today. The release of our Sandbox Detection Tool also happened late last week, and the results have yet to take fatal crticism...

Its thought unofficially verified that yeah, there is something like that, but Google as it was once, will alwyas remain uncertain and confused whether to announce it officially or not.
