In addition to the brilliant editing of the WebProNews team, this video actually has a lot of great content from Vanessa - she tackles questions in a straightforward manner that you can't help but appreciate. Thanks, Vanessa.
The original video - Vanessa Fox clarifies the Role of Google Sitemaps is in even greater detail.
I just punched myself in the face for missing SES Chicago.
In the face...
That can't feel good, Bob. Get an ice pack... or just go to Chicago and stand outside - pretty much the same thing. :)
Nice interview - if you re-master, you might adjust the volume levels.
BTW, Vanessa uses Denver vs. Boulder (Colorado) several times as examples .... as a long-time resident, it is "The Republic of Boulder" (27 miles square miles surrounded by reality) - that's important for her to know when she becomes the "Ruler of the Universe" ;-)
Well done Rand, I sent this video to my CEO and he now has a better idea of what a sitemap is when he sells the idea to clients ;)
Wowwww Rand great interview, did you know you had such skills for doing interviews? Good information about Google sitemaps and dup content issues, thanks.
Nice lively interview - kudos to all involved. :)
Thanks, Vanessa for all of the great info!
Great interview Rand!
Really amusing and very good questions =D
So... nice interview, Rand :-)
Go, go "last modified", my favorite attribute.
Rand,
Do you know how many times you said "very fair"? Now I know what the catch phrase should be on your likeness pull-string SEO doll. :)
Cygnus
Rand-
How do you get your hair to make that killer kickback wave!?
Great interview!
Haven't you ever seen "Something About Mary"? You don't go into an interview...
Great interview Rand.
Although Vanessa sounds a lot like other googlers I've heard talking about Google issues. They always drift to content and good user experience and I wonder if future SEOs won't do that as well. I know thinking long term is hard but that's what it takes.
White hats needs to get even whiter. Transparent hats, maybe?
ps: don't roll up your sleaves like that unless you want your sweaters to become larger and baggy on the harms. I know from experience.
