Howdy, from fabulous Las Vegas!
Rather than spend the next week jumping puddles and listening to flood warnings, the Mozzers will be embarking on a trip to sunny Las Vegas for Pubcon!
Since we'll be out and about for the next week (and for the most part are twitter free), keeping up to date on where we'll be at certain times is a task that could seriously cut into some primo table time. We anticipated this well in advance and have a solution for the problem....
The SEOmoz Events Calendar!
The Events Calendar lets you easily schedule social gatherings and invite users to them. On the opposite end of the spectrum, you can also easily RSVP and discuss other events that users have created.
This software is still very much beta, so if you do encounter any problems with it or have any suggestions to offer, please forward them to [email protected]
It is very much encouraged that you party hard this next week. It is also encouraged that you use the events calendar to schedule your party (and invite us!).
This calendar is open for any events you wish to schedule.
We at SEOmoz strongly endorse the act of partying.
Please party responsibly.

On an entirely separate note - NICE CALENDAR APP!
I second that! SEOmoz.org just gets better and better. I'm itching to see the "SEO Analytics" thing Scott mentioned will be rolling out in January '08.
Keep up the great work, guys. I'll keep paying that Premium fee and recommending it to anyone I know who's interested in SEO.
The calendar looks nice, but for the moment the calendar seems to be a spider trap? I haven't checked things closely, so I may be wrong.
Very cool calendar application. I have been waiting to see a site that will tell me when all of the upcoming events will be occuring in the search industry. Previously, you had to watch your different RSS feeds or check all of the seminar sites individually.
Nice new feature.
I like the calendar functionality, but let me also add that we are having a great time at SES Chicago as well. Heck, I'm writing this from the Danny Sulivan moderated sitemap discussion, where I was able to ask some questions from Trevor Foucher, a Google software engineer. So maybe not Vegas fun, but a good show nonetheless. And maybe with more snow. But other than that... party over here, party over there. :)
I'll be sure to post some details from the Chicago side of conferences next week when I return. And if anyone is in Chicago for the show, please look me up. I'll be speaking on Managing PPC tomorrow at 11:30 (shameless plug).
Ha ha... Say hi to Trevor for us. I saw him last week, and I'm glad to hear he's taking on questions :)
Nice Andrew WK reference in the title :)
You guys rock. Love the stuff you keep rolling out with!
Nice feature n calender.
We will now be able to know what u guys are upto every month n where to trace u.
:)
Definately on my list to attend next year!! Post some pics of the party, if there are anyyou can post in public!! :-)
Very nice, I am sure this will be well used for PubCon and future events. Also excited that I am hitting the 100 thumbs up mark!
You would be remiss not to thank Tony Clifton for that!
Good point!
Just thinking about the Vegas partie's I've attended makes my liver want to run for shelter!
I suggest you try the Kobe Beef sampler at Kraft Steak at the MGM. I once engineered a 5 hour layover on my way to LAX so that I could taxi in and eat.

Ah, I love Craftsteak. I've eaten there the last two times I was in Vegas.
I was in there when Steve Wynn walked in - apparently it was his fave steak place in Vegas. Quite a compliment to Kraftsteak!
What is the Oriental place right around the corner?

I am going to have to make it my goal to make it to one of the conferences this coming year. It's tough being on my own to justify the cost, but damn it I am sick and tired of missing the party!
I want to go!
I might drive over from LA just for the "classic pubcon". Is that worth its weight in SEO? I wonder if that is just going to be another cocktail party with medicore shrimp.
Nice. The calendar is going to rock. Great work.
I WISH I WERE THERE!!!
Yeah...Same here...I have seen their previous parties at flickr...They rock !!
Hey Mel ! Why don't you send invitations to the moz fans around !! hmm ??
