Snipermilk put together a cool battle system between many well known folks in our sphere (including yours truly). You can also upload your own photos to do battle - I added DazzlinDonna and pitted her against Aaron Wall in a vicious battle that took me almost 3 seconds to decide the outcome ;)
It's a fun little piece of bait and it's also a good way to show off one of Ning's functionality pieces. I have a feeling we'll be seeing a lot more stuff at that domain.
BTW - I'm top 10 in winners and losers... Does that make me a "well balanced" SEO?
Rand, aside from the gore aspect, I personally wanted to discover the "lost" legends of SEO. I've been looking up people from earlier generations and I figured the best way to put that info out was to get the more established SEOs to add their own idols.
Glad you liked it and re: the duplicate entry check, I hope Ning's listening in :)
Marc
I just came across this as I was researching Ning. That line, " I have a feeling we'll be seeing a lot more stuff at that domain." just cracks me up. I don't know if Rand was legitimately speculating Ning would be successful or if he was somehow invested in plugging the site.
Irish - Actually, that's my fault. I uploaded Jim's picture without realizing he was already listed :)
Sorry about that! It's not spam, just people not being careful. They'll have to build some sort of name recognition system so it says, is this person "x"?
Sooo addictive!
Meanwhile, some are trying to increase their chances to win by spamming SEO Generations submitting their pictures twice - and who'd think Jim Boykin would be one of them! LOL
I liked the "Barney" pic that was battling it out with the other SEO's. I hope no one besides the pic poster voted for him against the "real" pros, but the irony is kinda funny.
Could Barney represent the many "fly-by-night" SEO's? Or maybe a "fly-by-night" submission company?
Just a thought!
lol... this is way too much fun...
