Now that I've got about a week's worth of antibiotics pumping through my system (only one more week to go!), I was able to focus my valuable SEO skills on creating a litany of stupid speech bubbles and images of Dave Naylor saying "fookin." I think I may be underpaid.
Anyway, thanks for being patient while my body became a culture of snot and goo. Here's the SES San Jose 2007 Comic Strip for your viewing enjoyment. Some photo credits go to Rhea Drysdale, Michael McDonald, Becky Ryan (happy birthday, Becky!), Tamar Weinberg, Lee Odden, and David Brown, who put up this amusing flip book of sorts after someone got a little shutterbug-happy.
Enjoy!

The author's views are entirely his or her own (excluding the unlikely event of hypnosis) and may not always reflect the views of Moz.
I love it!
It is also nice to confirm I was there, people kept on telling me I attended, but I wasn't sure.
"GuhMail" teehee, but the Elton John lyrics... nice.
And I thought you'd be more partial to the "I was in 300" comment
Is this SEO?
"No, This is SPARTA"
C'mon... just say it for me once? :)
Another great effort Rebecca.... like the ones from the Dinner Death March
Great work Rebecca!
You should put ALL the comic recaps into a printed SEO graphic novel... if you sold that you wouldn't need to seek investors
I really enjoyed the comics! It really gives a good understanding to what really goes on at those conferences! I've never been. Unfortunately the guys in the office were really bugging me whan I said I was reading an SEO comic! Is there some other name for it so that my nerdy side doesn't come out so much!
Uh, a recap of SES in picture form?
I like, "A Photo Essay of Current Events in Search Marketing."
I like that! Doesn't sound too geeky, yet, successfully captures it!
A photographuc reflection of the hindmost business development and networking summit on the subjects of search engine optimization and search engine marketing?
They could call it the "Social Media Networking Case Study"?
Rebecca, you've been spending too much time in Fantagraphics... Wait. What am I saying??? That's one of those impossible things.
I don't get it.
no you are just not there... but missed
oh, maybe that's it, thanks Frank.
That's because you are sorely missed over here! Hope China is treatin' ya well, David!
Another great comic recap of an SEO conference, and finally one that I can relate to (although "remember" is still a bit of a stretch), since I was actually THERE this time. Thanks Rebecca!
Great job with these yet again...I agree with Jon that your comics are way better recaps than any "live blogging" that goes on at these conferences (sorry, Tamar and Lisa).
And just to set the record straight, golf only dominates my thinking for about 40% of my waking hours. I was definitely in 'SEO' phase during your presentation. :D
[kicks]
:)
Uhh... *fluster* ... home-made t-shirt...
Whew. Is it hot in here?
Haha, get your mind out of the gutter. :P
Heh. Thank goodness there is a smiley face thingamabob there; after I commented I thought, "Oh God, this could go badly for me..." :)
You're really good at capturing the fun of these conferences, Rebecca! As always, a great read.
Nice work, Rebecca -- stangely enough comics seem to best capture these shows! Nice to meet you there, too.
Nice meeting you as well! I enjoyed your presentation :)
Thanks, Rebecca!
Good stuff Rebecca, guess you need to do something useful instead of sitting on facebook all day ;)
Going to check it out now
It's called multitasking, Glen!
Haha. Yeah. Multi-tasking. That's what Tom claims when his facebook profile says 'chilling' when he's s'posed to be working ;)
I call it "networking."
You stole my word. :)
My mistake ;)
You could have at least Photoshopped me in there somewhere.
I'll bring a cardboard cutout of you to the next Jane-less conference.
There will be such an event?!
Guess they haven't told you yet!
see you in chicago?
Hilarious as always. Thanks for laughs.
Did Lisa get her soul back?
Nah, but she doesn't need it.
I just saw it on Ebay
Hey!
It hasn't hit the reserve yet, but I am sure it will, I mean one dollar and twelve cents is pretty cheap for a soul
