I'm probably one of the only people who really like Andy's re-imagined Google homepage. It looks terrific and gives you a sense that they're a much bigger and more professional company. In all honesty, if the current page design belgoned to anyone but Google, I'd be thinking, "gee, this company has no designer - they're probably small time."

Feel free to dissect my opinion with zeal.

Oh yeah, and speaking of successful linkbait... it's at 13 now, and I'm guessing in 10 days, it will be over 1000.
