I can't believe I missed it, but as of last Friday, the SEO world's chief authority on KW Research, Dan Thies, has joined the blog ranks. His format is slightly different than most industry bloggers, providing tips and advice about the SEO process itself on a daily basis. From a recent post on title tags:
Unless your brand name is especially valuable, you may be better off putting the company name last in the title tag, rather than first. If you're Amazon.com, you probably get a higher click-through rate from a title like "Amazon - The Da Vinci Code : Books : Dan Brown." If you're Fred's Internet Book Emporium, you may want something like "The Da Vinci Code by Dan Brown - free shipping @ Fred's Books" instead.
Added to the blogroll.
Thanks.
Added the feed to my SEO feed site,
Yup. Feed added.
If you like Dan's new blog, you might enjoy the Search Engine Marketing blog he's been writing over at SitePoint.
In fact, if you want to know more about Dan, check out this interview.
Dans is one of the greatest in this area. I found his Search Engine Marketing Kit a great help when I first started to take SEO seriously.

Nice find; thanks.
The concept of ensuring that homepage links go to '/' versus the list of index.whatever certainly is overlooked.
It looks really good, added to the blogroll as well.
Looks like its gonna be a great one alright - some excellent info and links on conversion as well as SEO.
