Since I know that most of the readers here are big fans of free content, I figured this review of Bittorrent clients by Michael Calore might be of interest. His final take for Windows users is µTorrent and for Mac, the official Bittorrent client.
Anyone have recommendations about which Torrent search engines are useful?
https://oink.me.uk/ is supposedly really good, but you have to have a membership.
Now 11 years on, having my cloud provider on my side, I am using multiple torrents depending on content and download directly to multiple cloud storage services (dropbox, G Drive, One Drive, Amazon). Interesting how times change! No more luck in the making, just pure downloads.
Normally i use Torrentspy.com is one of the best torrent search engines. Also mininova.org is really good.
Don't forget about demonoid.com, thepiratebay.org or ts.kurtubba.com if you want to just search every single torrent site out there :)
Remember only use these to download software/music/movies that you already own and just want a backup ;P
lol. yeah.

I like torrentspy.com and isohunt.com, for public domain files of course.
You simply can't beat the GG command filetype:torrent keyword
I've also had pretty good luck with https://www.torrentz.com
