I'm fairly sure I saw someone post the Cuil thing seriously the other day. Either that or their level of tongue-in-cheek is entering Cuil Level 5, possibly resulting in a satirical black hole.
Although the 69 designs are nicely done and sliced. From a user-friendly, bandwidth and conversion point of view it's good to look at but no further.
Are there statistics that show that beautiful design could aid conversion? Or are the odds of interfering the general purpose of the site bigger?
