There's really no introduction necessary. This is one of those posts that will appeal to some people quite nicely and make others yell "linkbait" - which happens pretty much anytime SEOmoz publishes something in a list format. Hopefully you'll enjoy the break from our usual:
Basic Equations
- Great Writing/Multimedia/Tools + Interesting Subject Matter = Link-Worthy Content

p.s. Expect to see more blogs from Scott, Rebecca, Jane & Jeff over the next week. My dad had emergency surgery last night and will be in the hospital for another 5+ days; Gillian and I will, thus, both be out of touch much more than usual.
Dang Rand,
SEOmoz is churning out awesome posts lately. Is this part of your new years resolution?
Good summary Rand You should bundle this information into a book. I'll buy it!
I second the notion, if Lifehacker can publish a profitable book, I know that SEOMoz could publish a winner. I would definitely buy it
We're working on it, Peter.
Rand,
I think this ties in nicely as a means to understand the current evolution of search algorithms; some might view this as a white hat approach, but I'm hoping that others might just see this as lateral thinking from a SEO perspective.
I wrote a bit more about it after thinking about the WH vs BH arguments floating around once again. https://www.paydayloanaffiliate.com/blog/Later...
Rand,
Thanks for still taking the time to post this list. How driven you are simply amazes me. Best wishes to you and your family and I hope your father has a very speedy recovery.
-Jason aka roadies
Thanks for the kind thoughts, Jason.
Working your tail off when the going gets rough is a family trait. It's a particularly productive form of pain management.
But Rand has now delegated - a sign that he is going to make it through this episode in one piece. Thanks, Mozzers for taking a load off Rand's shoulders!
Bravo
This is one of the best that we can find over Internet.
Nielsen (Usability) is not more important for you (internet)?
cedano - I've never been a huge Nielsen fan, but he probably does a few alertboxes that belong on the list. Which ones were you thinking?
Spending 2 seconds on Nielsen makes you think you in 1993. Wonder why?
Nielsen was the benchmark for the first 10+ yrs of my marketing experience. So let's see... that would have been, oh yeah - about 20 years ago! I agree: Nielsen never made it out of the late '80's, let alone the '90's.
Hey, this is linkbait!!
Oh, but I meant that in a good way. Heh, someone had to call it out!
Actually, I would say this is linkbaits. You probably could have broken this out into 2-3 posts at least. Funny, every time you think you've "come across" everything, you realize how wrong you are... thanks a lot Rand for once again bringing me back down to reality. So now if you'll excuse me, I have some new sites to visit. ;)
Damn, I wish I wrote that.
lyndoman, you're everywhere these days. I'm going to have to either avoid you or start my own "lyndoman fan club". Your posts on cornwall have been great! Keep it up.
(BTW - I'm JasonMurphy from MBL and PlugIM in case you were wondering).
days of learning here, thanks for the list :)
Thanks! Great list.
I had to blog your post!
I'm an italian internet project manager, but I did my thesis on corporate Blog. You rexumed all the most important resources of human blogging time so..thank you.
Unfortunately we should use all these links, so the work is only at the half time!
Great list. Thanks for taking the time to put it together.
Proper Optimization Techniques:
Do a Search on Google or Yahoo for:: SEARCH ENGINE OPTIMIZATION :: who is #1 - do they NOT deserve a listing?
https://www.google.com/search?q=search+engine+...
Also a list of Best websites for Online SEO Tools might be helpful to many,

BTW: https://blog.outer-court.com/forum/82613.html ...
One site on your list - debuted in the Google Top for the term SEARCH ENGINE OPTIMIZATION in just 2 1/2 days after being created
SEWEB - It's hard to follow your formatting and writing style, but I'd say that certainly Wikipedia's page does not deserve to be listed atop the SERPs for that query. It is not a good source of high quality, relevant information and censors much of the excellent content that has been added to the page. It's neither an unbiased, nor an accurate source and its ranking is largely due to a communal backlash against the SEO community by those who believe that linking to it is a good way to express their distaste for bad experiences they've had with SEO or search spammers.
Awesome post, Rand! I love the equations. Way to spell out the "gospel" so clearly.
Great Writing + Link-worthy content + Great Website + Rapidly Rising Rankings + Tons of Traffic + Successful Business Model (in the making) = SEOMoz !
p.s. Prayers for your father!
A great resource! *click* Add to Del.icio.us
Apologies in advance, dear readers.
Hey, speak for yourself! I got to write about PORN today!
Two-hundred and forty dollars worth of pudding.
Aw-yeah...
I thought it would be interesting and related to check top 4world website, where you can vote and see other people votes results monthly for many different things like top books, cars, games, movies, etc.
Nice collection! I vote this be added (not mine - my dad's):
The Sweet 16: Principles for Building a Successful Internet Business https://www.led-digest.com/content/view/1286/1...
Useful and informed info from an old pro. I especially like #13: Build a Three Legged Stool ...but all 16 principles are essential.
Rand:
Your tool kit left out some interesting contributes from Microsoft Ad Labs:

Great information, thank you very much!
"I don't think a puppy results from that."--Jeff
Sure it does. Gotta get the money to buy the puppy from somewhere.
...it was a joke!
Reading your posts, guys, I primarily like the topics of your posts - you are really great at generating ideas that are properly backed up with content.
