I got a good chuckle out of G-Man's Low on Cash? Start a Forum! post.
Following on the same theme I've seen a ton of blogspot sites tearing up some of the money SERPs at MSN this week. They have clogged up a couple of my favorite niches and are currently dominating the Airline Tickets SERPs, ranking at #1 and owning a full 50% of the Page 1 turf. I suspect that this was an accident as some of these sites are entirely unmonetized. Most people can't do something like this on purpose.
Are these blogspot sites taking over your SERPs too?

Spam blogs still hold #1, #2, #3, #5, #6, #7 and #9 for the "airline tickets" search at MSN.
I was reading this post today and had to search that term on mns/bing. Amazingly, they have moved alot in teh last few years with giving much better search results and i cant seem to find any of these spam blogs within the first 5 pages ...nice work.
UPDATE: these blogspot sites are still holding 50% of the first page at MSN for "airline tickets".
G-Man, are you SpamBloggin?
Wow... I can't believe they haven't fixed it yet. I'm pretty sure I heard someone say that MSNGuy reads us.
None of those sites seem to be working now. Looks like they were all taken down since your post.
Thank you for ridding the internet of a few more spam sites. Ten down, ten billion to go... :(
heh... looks like they got yanked from Blogger... but they still hold #2, #3, #4, #8 and #9 (and a lot of lower positions) on the SERPs that MSN is sending to me. Wonder how long it will take them to fall out of the MSN SERPs? The URL still resolves at Blogger - but on a "not found" page with zero relevence.
Interesting, but doesn't look like an accident to me. The domain names are systematically chosen... a nice little mystery.
Definitely not accidental, wonder what they did you secure those spots. Only the 9th result still redirects, the rest are dead.
Wow - I see a bunch of spam blogs ranking on page 2 and 3, and I suspect they were even higher before. That's some nice work taking advantage of MSN's high tolerance for low quality links. :)
makes me wonder if they set 'em up .. spammed for them and forgot about them. they must be busy lining up another series of spam sites LOL
what a waste!
Maybe it happend so fast that they didn't have time to slap the adsense code on them. These sites could be raking in some nice dough if 30 minutes were spent on making them look nice and putting some affiliate links on them.
It looks like they got monetized in a hurry. They are all either dead or redirecting now.
I think that it's a plot by Google to stink up the SERPs over at MSN.
