I would like to talk about a case study for a large start up I worked on for over eight months in the Australian and US market. This client originally came to the company with the typical link building and SEO problems. They had been using a SEO company that had an extensive link network and was using less than impressive SEO tactics and methodologies over the last 12 months. The company was also losing considerable revenue as a direct result of this low quality SEO work. So, I had to scramble and develop a revival strategy for this client.
First, I will show you a quick snapshot of the traffic uplift, which yielded an additional 400,000 unique visitors from organic search traffic on a monthly basis. Then I will explain to you the steps in which we took to get the client to this level. I have also tried to keep this quite general so everyone can adapt their own situation to this case study.
The graph shows January 2012 v.s. January 2013 and the uplift in organic traffic only; this is an example of the type of uplift you can have from removing low quality SEO work and implementing a high quality SEO strategy with high quality linking building and content creation.
Now I will show you the steps I used to increase the clients traffic, I have kept this to ten key steps from the overall process.
Step One: Link Identification and Analysis
So, you realise you have a problem. Google Webmaster Tools has provided a warning or you have had manual action taken by the web spam team and you realise your prior agency has been using some less than impressive link building methods. How do you identify your links?
The tools I usually use can be the following:
- Majestic SEO (Paid Tool) https://majesticseo.com
- Ahrefs (Paid Tool) https://ahrefs.com
- Open Site Explorer (Paid Tool) https://www.opensiteexplorer.com
- Google Webmaster Tools Link download (Free) https://www.google.com/webmasters/tools/
For our client: We used a mix of Majestic SEO & webmaster tools data in a .csv format to provide analysis from this file.
Step Two: Detecting Which Links are Bad and Good?
So, you have downloaded your links profiles on a CSV and you now have an extensive list of all your linked domains. If you have been doing SEO for 8+ years like me you can probably just know from analysis which links are bad from a TLD and URL point of view. If you do not know too much you can use tools such as Link Detox: https://www.linkdetox.com/ to complete analysis of your link profile. I would always consult the advice of an expert SEO in this instance because it is easy for these tools to mistake good and bad links.
Another tip you can use is just reach out to the prior agency and say something like the following: “We realise you were using link networks for our website which has resulted in a Google penalty and loss in business. Can you please remove my website from any link network you have built?”. If the prior agency is decent, they will remove the links from the network.
For our client: As I have been looking over link profiles for years, I was able to use my experience and knowledge determine the low quality links. We also contacted the prior agency and were successful with removing over 2000+ root domain network links, which was a huge success for the company.
Step Three: Removing Further Links
We reach the next step, where possibly the prior agency has been naughty and does not want to remove links or they have removed only a section of links. So, what do you do? You can do the following:
Reach out to the website owners and ask them to remove the links. In today’s market most website owners want payment to do this, which is annoying. You can do this by using Whois data website or onsite website contact forms.
My advice is to try everything to get links removed before moving onto the Google disavow tool:
https://www.google.com/webmasters/tools/disavow-links-main?pli=1
For our client: We were lucky enough to remove most from the prior agency outreach, we also went directly to many webmasters in which we wanted to remove links. We did not use the Disavow tool as it was not around when we completed this link cleanup, but we all know it has been said that if you are going to use the Disavow Tool to use it with caution.
Step Four: Writing a Reconsideration Request to Google
Google is currently been inundated with reconsideration requests from webmasters all over the world. On public holidays the Search Quality teams do not look at reconsideration requests. See below analysis. From my experience it can take anywhere from 15-30+ days for Google to respond to reconsideration requests; during peak periods it can even take longer.
Image Credit: Brian White (Google Web Spam Team - SMX Sydney 2013)
Now in your reconsideration request make sure you are honest and tell Google everything that the prior agency was up too. Be sure to include all Excel information of removed links and say you are going to make an ongoing effort to remove everything negative. It is common knowledge that Google may not accept your first reconsideration request, so it may take a few times.
For our client: We sent a comprehensive reconsideration request, the first time it was knocked back, yet we were successful on the second attempt. Make sure that you emphasise the fact that you plan to remove all non-natural links if possible.
Step Five: Implement a High Quality Content Creation Strategy
So, Google has accepted the reconsideration request, you can now move forward with creating high-quality link building and a content creation strategy. I see every one creating threads about great content marketing examples, but the problem is that most of the time these are big business examples. SME’s and start-ups do not have big dollars to do such things, so the next best thing is to is to create a content market calendar for your clients.
Work out all the events coming up in the year and work out how you can align these with the business. As an example, here are seven content ideas to get you started:
- Valentine’s Day Content
- Easter Content
- Mother's Day Content
- Christmas in July Content
- Talk like a Pirate day Content
- Christmas Time Content.
- Any significant birthday your company has, i.e 20 years in business.
Work out which content strategies your selected client can use and plot it all in Excel (example below):
My advice is to also get everyone involved in this process, even the receptionist. Great content ideas can come from anywhere in the business. Creative agencies will charge you $1000’s for a “brain storming” session, but you can do it for free with your immediate team.
For our client: We rolled out numerous new pieces of content onto their blog and news section; we aimed to make the content creative and funny. As the client was in the careers space we made use of “funny interview questions” and “technical interview questions” style articles. It was amazing that one of the articles even made it to the first page of Reddit. We also pushed out content which was related to various holidays in that year and also specific to the client’s industry and also current trends in the market.
Step Six: Implement a High-Quality Link Building Strategy
Tie in your link building strategy with your content marketing strategy. Work out how you will be building high-quality links via outreach and also by integration with your content strategy.
Link building in the last two years has changed dramatically. Gone are the days of building forum links and social bookmarking links. In today’s market if you want to stay ahead you have to be creative with your link building. Here are some ideas for link building in today’s market:
- Make sure you always include related links in PR that you push out.
- Make sure you always look for suppliers or affiliates of your business that you can reach out to for links.
- Track your competitors using tools such as Open Site Explorer and Majestic SEO, listed above in this post. Work out how your competitors are getting links and create content assets that are the same as your competitors.
- Go to local events or Meetup events and connect with bloggers in your industry. An example of an event I run to connect with bloggers and people in the online marketing word is: https://www.meetup.com/Online-Marketing-Sydney/. Make friends first and then try to gain guest posts later. I am not really a fan of websites which are flooded with guest posts one after another; it is the type of thing which Google is just waiting to target.
- Look for high-quality directories which you can obtain decent links and traffic from. I would go for directories which ask for verification processes such as phone verification and not ones who allow you to add your site in seconds. The harder the site is to get a link on the higher quality the link will generally be.
Further ideas of higher quality link building can be viewed here: https://backlinks.com.au/10-surefire-link-building-tips-for-2013/
For our client: We only used a smaller quantity of very high-quality link building each month. So, for example we only built 40 of the best links each month to supplement the work we were doing on the content marketing front. We also invested heavily into tracking competitor backlink profiles, using Majestic SEO and Open Site Explorer. We worked out how the competitor's acquired specific backlinks, then by using outreach and content creation we obtained these links.
Step Seven: Implement Schema Markup and Rel=Author
This is a crucial area. If you do not have schema markup and rel="author", you are costing your business money. It is as simple as that. As an example, say I want to make spaghetti (pasta) for dinner I search for “Spaghetti Recipe” and instantly I see some great markup in play, but one competitor has no markup and no rel="author" they are losing business in my eyes. Wouldn't you agree?.
Google has been pushing rel="author" at events and I would endorse it 100%. You can set up rel="author"; the basic set up can be found by visiting the following link:
https://support.google.com/webmasters/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=1408986
Google is also pushing Schema along wiht Bing. For Schema markup information all the data can be found using the following website:
https://www.schema.org
For our client: We rolled out a successful implementation of rel="author" for the three in-house content writers the company had. The client had over 300+ articles made by these content writers over the years and it was possible to implement rel="author" for all the aged articles. I advise anyone who has a large section of content to do so as it will only benefit the website. We were also in the process of rolling out further schema markup to the site's course content as it only has a benefit for CTR.
Step Eight: Look for Big On-site Technical Wins
Many legacy websites usually have some big on-site technical wins. Some examples of huge technical problems I have seen in the past and fixed are:
- Someone had completed a site move in the last year and they did not 301 redirect the correct URLS; they have missed plenty of key URLS which are now 404 errors.
- Someone has built a whole section of linked categories in JavaScript and search engines cannot access the content effectively.
- Someone has blocked specific sections of the site in robots.txt for no specific reason.
- Someone has used the same rel=canonical to only one page across all the website pages.
- Someone has built internal indexed pages as PPC landing pages and copied all the content.
Fixing things such as the above can have a really great impact on the website. I have come across these and many more over the years.
For our client: It was a case of reducing the 404 errors on the website, reducing the number of 302 redirects which were not passing correct link value and also monitoring other areas of the website to improve the speed of the sites content pages.
Step Nine: Use Advanced Keywords Research and use your Paid Search Data to Implement a Effective Long Tail Strategy
Using your paid search data to its full extent is an area of SEO where many do not delve into. My advice is if you are not using your paid search data to assist your SEO campaigns you need to start now.
Some fantastic articles on how to use for paid search data for Keyword Research and analysis can be found here: https://moz.com/ugc/advanced-seo-keyword-research-tips-and-ideas-14216.
By using paid search data and advanced keyword research you are able to pin point areas where you have a competitive edge and where you can drive revenue to the business. It makes business sense that if you are not implementing these key areas then you are missing out!
For our client: We took the top PPC terms based on conversion and worked these keywords into existing pages on the website. We also created new high-quality content-based pages from these conversion terms. This type of strategy can work very well in assisting overall conversions on the website and driving more revenue. We also conducted a large-scale keyword research project for the client which yielded in uncovering many areas of opportunity for content development and targeting.
Step Ten: Monitor Everything and Continue Doing High-Quality Work!
Monitoring what is happening with your domains is crucial and you can do this using the following tools:
- SEOmoz Campaign manager: https://www.seomoz.org/tools
- Webmaster Tools Analysis: https://www.google.com/webmasters/tools/?hl=en
I would advise you to complete analysis on a daily basis if the site is large and if the site is smaller than check the metrics several days a week.
I would also advise to monitor your competition sign-up to their RSS feeds and stalk their social profiles; see what they are up to and see if you can generate further ideas from your competitors for work moving forward.
I would also advise to continue doing what works. If something you have rolled out generates great traffic and links bring out a new version of the content, for example the 2012 version worked effectively bring out the 2013 version of the content. Another effective strategy is to make the piece of content into an evergreen article which you add to over time so it is always up to date.
For our client: We monitored everything on a daily basis. If something came up, which needed to be fixed, we were quick to implement it with the development team at the business. We also rolled out numerous campaigns multiple times as they worked effectively the first time around in generating significant traffic so it was second nature to do the same thing twice.
Overall, these were ten of the key elements which assisted our client in reaching this growth in organic SEO traffic. I hope this guide/case study can assist webmaster's who have been targeted by recent updates over the last 12 months. If you want to learn more about these tactics or have any questions feel free to contact me via Twitter @ https://twitter.com/connections8 or leave a comment below!
James, you give a great template for how a business needs to move forward in their chosen niche online. Quite informative and the meeting of minds has been something a number of us have done online and in person to gain better insight into our small similar businesses. Thank you for sharing your detailed approach to increasing organic traffic...content still is king.
Thanks for the comment, happy you found the article informative =)
Good article with steps everyone at any size business can follow.
Regarding Link Detox, links it diagnoses as Toxic are generally fine as they're either not indexed by Google or have malware/viruses/etc., but I recommend a manual review of any diagnosed as Suspicious. I used it recently to get started cleaning up our backlinks and some legit sites and blogs were under Suspicious simply because they didn't have many links pointing to them.
Thanks for the comment, yes I agree a second opinion is always valid when doing a link review on a website or it can pick up legit/clean websites.
A very helpful case study and great inspiration for many webmasters and SEOs who are still on the road to recovery!
Thanks for the comment, happy you found some inspiration from the post =)
HI, Great article! I am glad that you mentioned using directories for the link building process. A lot of people have been saying NOT to use directories but I still have doubts. I believe that as long as the directory provides high quality link, it should be ok. Just have to avoid low quality scammy directories.
Hi quality directories still do have a place, its the low quality ones that you need to steer clear from.
Agreed! However, most people always refer to low quality directories when they talk about directories. I still believe it works if used correctly/wisely.
High quality directories tend to have a human element involved. At least that is what we found. At the very least some kind of approval process or minimal qualifications.
Thank you for the post James. I appreciate the effort and transparency you put into sharing your process.
thanks for the comment Christopher, happy you enjoyed the post.
Great job! I really love the image of rel="author" and schema markup.
Schema is something I need to try out...
Yes it is 100% worth implementing to increase CTR, if your competitors have it and you don't its just potential traffic you are missing =)
Perfect, I always wondered how the listings in the SERP could look like that, and now I know!
Nice one, happy I could help you here =)
There's alot of good advice and information in this article - thanks, really good to read.
thanks for the comment happy you enjoyed the post.
Great Article..
Hi James,
Really nice article, I particularly like the Meetup approach.
I think that search engines are really starting to recognise powerful localised content that provides value to the local community. Its great to see a high profile SEO verbalising that.
Kind regards
Jeremy
I have been going to meetups in Sydney for a few years, its a good way to meet people who do what you do but you can also build good contacts with bloggers and share ideas. It is 100% worth doing in my eyes.
hey james - congrats on your success here. just a question about removing crummy links. for my own website, there are hundreds of thousands of backlinks in webmaster tools pointing to my site. The site has no penalties or anything - the traffic seems to be growing every week. would you recommend hiring someone to go through the link profile anyway to remove crummy links that just occur naturally?
Hey Larry,
It is usually best to have them remove just in case. Naturally, spammy links are just an occurrence and there will never be a for sure way to stop it. I suggest trying to get some of them removed either by contacting the webmaster or just simply disavowing those links.
Disavowing should be a last resort as I've remember reading that if you don't have a penalty, it is best not to disavow them in case there is a negative effect.
Hi Larry, thanks for the comment.
I have worked on a few very large sites in the past such as News websites, the thing is these sites have millions of links and millions of pages. With scraper sites picking up the content every day on a huge scale.
My advice is to monitor the link profile on a weekly basis 2-3 times a week, if any thing really sinister does show u then it would be advisable to reach out to the site to remove it. As the poster above said you wouldn't want to disavow a huge number of links if the site has no penalty to begin with.
If you were to suggest "one" step (most important step) what would it be? In your ten, I did not see anything about canonical. Would that be the 11th thing?
The canonical tag is something which is usually implemented within the CMS in today's market, but if it not implemented across a large site it can have a positive impact.
11th point to me would be too look at your social media properties, work out how you can use them to assist your SEO strategy. I mean working on competitions via social channels to drive SEO benefit to your main site is great, working on re-doing your YouTube videos to assist the main site and also working on your content sharing strategy via these social sites back to the main site.
Hi , the post is really nice , and it made me think if our current strategy is ok or not , 2 things are important " High quality content strategy " and " Good quality Links " now joining those correctly can pose some real challenges , say if we have n no of content writers who are writing for couple of websites, to be generic let’s consider , 1 writer @ 1 website . We have to write make a content strategy for in-house blog of the website to drive authentic traffic on it and a separate content strategy for grabbing links from some authentic High PR website i.e. CS should be 2 ways , In-house / Outhouse .
One strategy could be create a content in 2 parts, one supplementing the other i.e. One can be published on in-house blog and 2nd can be used to approach some authentic guest blog or article website which will provide a genuine link to the 1st article.
This is just a tip of an iceberg and doing exactly same for each content can be practically impossible.
Here comes my real question: “If we are short of Quality content then where should we concentrate more i.e. on in-house blog updating or using it for link building??” Cause for both we need high quality content (either it’s to get it ranked on the long tail keyword / or grab a high quality back link from some high PR website).
I would in quality content first, then look for easy wins from link building for your specific niche.
When you make industry specific high quality articles you can rank for long tail keywords.
Covers lots of things from link schemes to social & content. Note ;it's also possible to create high PR links from scratch with a proper external content strategy, and second-layers backlinks
Thanks for the comment, I would not say it is impossible to create high quality backlinks from scratch without content, you just need to do a review on competitor backlinks and see if their are any easy targets. We have had some good luck in the education space acquiring links on the same pages as competitor from PR5+ edu sites. It all revolves around the outreach strategy in which you put in place.
Nice top level article with sound advice covering penalty recovery and traffic building. My only thought would be regarding the order of the steps. I'd suggest getting the keyword research done before undertaking the content marketing / link building strategy as it typically uncovers a lot of useful content / link building ideas to add to the mix.
Cheers!
Good point,The thing with this client is they wanted to mitigate the risk of removing a large number of links so high quality link building was moved in early before keyword research. So it is on a case by case basis, but defiantly a good point for most new clients I work with who do not have pre-existing issues you want to do Keyword Research very early in the process.
Hi James,
As an SEO I Love to work on fresh websites or blogs.
But many of our new clients from last 1 years are those only who came up with low quality SEO work. And I also used to follow some same steps which you have mentioned here. Thanks for this great post which add some more steps to my task.
Do you know any other tool then Link Detox? For Detecting Which Links are Bad and Good.
Well some other tools you can use are https://netcomber.com - basically you use this tool to check if the link in question is on a network of websites, if the site is linked via a bad network it can be an indication it is worth taking down.
Thanks a lot for this tool.
Thanks for the tip. I am going to use this!
James, well done on a great Article, it have really made me think. I will be using this as a reference and performing some experiments of my own based on this.
Thanks heaps for you work.
Peter Mead
thanks for the comment Peter, happy you found some good insight from the article to use on up coming tests. I wish you the best luck with them.
+1 Great post with ACTIONABLE steps! I use rel author a bit but your Schema Markup image really sends it home of how we may be missing out on valuable real estate to stand out from competitors!
Thank you!
Thanks for the comment, yes it is always important to implement these mark ups as it is additional real estate which really improves CTR. You just need to check out the example above to see how important it is.
Thanks for the great tips here. I will definitely try everything you have said here and will give you feedback afterwards. I just have to ask, is it really important that website should pass to Schema? Thanks in advance.
Good and great post that could help a lot for building the traffic to the website..hats off to the Blogger.jack from bizbilla
James thank you so much for sharing this experience, after reading your whole post i think i have got what i was searching for over the last couple of hours. Soo, interesting, effective and useful strategy!! Thanks a lot once again.
What if I read anymore information my brain will explode--so where do I go if I supply all the content, but am too lazy to read all of this. Who can I pay to run with this?--(Also-I know enough to do all the grunt work-just need some direction) I have a really fun project/marketing challenge, a moderate amount of coins, and other than today-usually a ton of commitment. https://bdehaven.com
Have you checked out our recommended companies list at https://moz.com/community/recommended?

If I create backlink from law quality PR blogs, Do they harm my blog ?
Hey James- awesome post. I am struggling with this at the moment, so thank you very much.
Great post... i have to try next day.. thanks. I have a new website with low traffic, https://a-ox.com. I hope this way can help my website to best SERP position.
Great information! All these strategies will surely help to drive traffic. Thanks a lot.

Great blog. my website is launched newly. so i am targeting low volume keywords for generating trffic pls suggest me the tips my targeted keywords are inventory management and warehouse management
Amazing article - very helpful. I am a newbie and was having a hard time with SEO because, like you mention above, it seemed very overwhelming. Thanks for making me feel more comfortable.
Hii james, I thing it's possible if we have large number of articles, but there is anything that we can increase traffic like that on new sites with having small content. But should be through ethic seo and organic search results.
Amazing information :))))
Great article this is an interesting to learn SEO from experts I liked SEO strategies which have nicely shared by proper ways
I'm sure this is very helpful to everyone to increase organic traffic
Thank's for the awesome content
I think STEP TWO should be given highest priority while implementing the SEO techniques. Great job...Thanks for such an useful post!
Thanks for the reply, happy you enjoyed the post.
im currently checking where we are on those steps. thanks james for laying it out for us.question though, can we build new high quality links while waiting for google reconsideration request?
Good question, to be honest I would scale back link building when you are trying to remove links and do a reconsideration request. Things you can still push out weekly are new content and if you need to get links try and obtain very high quality branded natural links which Google will see as been positive for the link profile.
Great and useful post. I would like to add one more of my own -in case of a URL which is consisted of 99.9% spam I'll suggest add Noindex,Nofollow or alternatively just remove it and replace it with a 404/410 page.
I think it depends how big the link profile in question is and also how valuable the domain is in terms of branding and overall value.
If their is not too much damage been done then it can be worth fixing up these things depending on the value for the business.
Hi James,
Honestly, I don't want to comment on this blog post. Because, I want to share one set with you from my Flickr account.
I have taken Google Analytics screenshots from my existing projects and I have implemented 90% tasks on these projects which you have described in this blog post.
Increasing Organic SEO Traffic
I recommend to follow these steps to all readers. Because, I can see fabulous improvement on performance after implement it on website.
Thanks for the comment Anand, I am happy that the post has provided some insight for increasing traffic, but yes its good if you have had experience implementing these styles of tactics in the past and know they do work if done correctly =) I wish you the best of luck with future projects.
Hi James,
Thanks for your reply. Yes, These tactics worked for me and quite excited to implement in future project! Now, I am following you on Twitter and excited to read more blog post from your end..
James, great article, thank you for all the detail. Question: regarding directory listings requiring phone verification. Do you ask your client to be prepared for a call and PIN number or do you use your company phone line? I have found it so difficult to get a client to answer their phone, record who called and what the PIN number is.
Thank you...Pam
Good question, for most directories I use they ask for mobile number to send a message of verification, for the ones which phone you for verification inform the company before hand to tell their customer service people to be ready. I know the bigger the company the more tricky these things get you just have to find out what works best to answer the calls even if they give you a direct number to use.
I noticed about 100 links show up a week in our backlink reports all from the same group (txt and 53searchengine, etc.). I am not adding them and the previous SEO said they had not done it either, but they started to appear right after they were dismissed.
This may be better posted in Q&A, but I just removed some malware that "spontaneously" appeared shortly after their dismissal. My question is could these be related and the malware "developing" the backlinks? I just thought I would ask since the topic of directories has been broached in this article.
Hi SEO 4 Attorneys, it could be any thing is this for your site for a clients site.It could be an attempt at negative SEO from a competitor? The thing is people may try to push 100's of spammy links to a site in hopes to knock it down. In the end of the day my best advice is to monitor your link profile on a weekly basis. Try to remove negative links where possible if you cant remove them then opt for the disavow tool as a last resort.
Great plan James.
We do implement and max out almost everything that you are talking about, except that I will put more attention to authorship markup now.
Honestly, I was expecting some "magic bullet", so I am little bit disappointed. It's not because your post is not good enough, quite the opposite, it's great. It's just my team and I have done almost everything out of this list and we are nowhere near the result that you managed to achieve.
Anyway, thank you for sharing your case study. Posts like yours are "evergreen content". ;)
Thanks for the comment Slava good too see your team is on top of things and happy you liked the post. The website in the case listed was a client who has taken on an agency who was doing lower quality SEO work which was affecting the site such as the huge link network and a strategy which only revolved around mainly head terms. We saw no long tail integration from the old agency's strategy, so we were able to yield great results to begin with. The clients site has 100's of high quality articles which we were able to re optimize and update as noted. Further to this they had a large index of high quality pages to work from. Sure enough the points listed above were key elements to a far wider strategy which could be 100's of points. I just wanted to include some of the biggest wins and easy to implement points.
As noted we also ranked for 65% US traffic and 35% Australian traffic so their is always more volume in the US market to begin with.
Good story, it's important for webmasters to know that even if we lost trafic a day we can recover, trying to fix errors and mistakes.
Well fixing prior SEO agency issues can have a positive impact, what also has a positive impact is on going quality work.
I guess these steps are quite logical if you do not want to use black cat seo methods. The other side is that the effect is longer and the cost for goog quality content also rather expensive. That's why many people ignore long term work even if it is evident like in your case.
Well we usually work with brands who have a long term mentaility in mind. We personally do not like to work with companies who do not have a long term vision.
Hiiii Tumacheck, When SEO results come to first page with ethical way they take long time but always more stable then the results come very fast, and provide fruitful results for long terms.
Hello James,
There are so many SEOs who were greatly affected by the changes made by Google itself. Their clients were the ones who got badly beaten and still not able to get up even SEOs are doing everything. I’m lucky that I was able to formulate techniques that are not purely link-based so I was able to resolve the issues easier. Anyway, thanks for sharing!
I have always believed in good quality content, well structured and written in a way that isn’t just about promotional talk. Thanks for sharing this information with us, it’s always helpful to have everything written in a concise manner so we can remind ourselves now and again of what it takes to increase organic traffic. As an SEO consultant myself I come across websites all the time that are messy and still using tactics that have long been out of date. Having a successful website is all about quality content and links. I like it that you stated what the problem was and then how you fixed it for the client. Great article.
I agree a second opinion is always valid when doing a link review on a website or it can pick up legit/clean websites.
Thanks for sharing knowledge regarding some essential steps for Off Page Optimization. Traffic is most important thing for a website for expands your business. I appreciate your hard work.
Nice post. I was wondering if all this content of your strategy was been writien in blog of the site, or if you added to content in some other specific parts of the sites. I don't believe 100% in the strategy of reomoving links. If Google just penalize you taking into account your inbound likes, It would be so easy to attack your competitors just by buying dirty link packages targeting to their sites.
Well as noted in the post it is not just above the links that was only one key part of a wider strategy. This website in question has deep levels of content. So it is not just about a blog section, they have numerous high quality content sections we have developed over time. It would not be advisable ever to attack competitors sites with low quality links.
I am too much late to commenting on this article. I want to read "How much get Organic traffic by SEO", found your your article on top & really very interesting. James Norquay, you did good research.I think Now days google block mostly SEO activities. Is this worthy for current marketing scnerio? If any other post to related strategy for increasing Organic traffic, you can reffer me.
Why google block all the ways?
