In addition to fabulous days full of great content from extraordinary minds, we're also cooking up three nights of great fun, networking, and MozCon love. Monday night, our partners will be hosting a pub crawl in Seattle's Belltown neighborhood with special prizes for those who hit every spot. Tuesday night, we're doing a networking event, featuring you, the community, and your passions besides marketing. Details to come as they're finalized! And finally, Wednesday night, we'll say 'see you next year' with our traditional party at the Garage: karaoke, bowling, pool, and chilling with friends.
Questions about MozCon? I'm happy to answer them in the comments.
See you at MozCon, friends!
Well, that's something "Block Buster"!!
I would love it if Bill Slawski having a talk on "Semantic Searches" as apparently it has become a big thing.
PS: Really praying for the lucky draw of "2015 industry survey" come out in my favor :P
I could give that talk too :-P
Awww.. I'm so sorry!! But wait a minute, I did recommend you in 2014's MozCon :p
https://moz.com/blog/mozcon-2014-agenda#comment-281469
LOL... I remember that (thanks)... my comment was just teasing ;-)
hahaha that's alright :)
May the odds be ever in your favor! :)
Thanks, Umar. I would love to give a presentation on a topic related to Semantic Search at MozCon.
I know sir and that's the reason, I recommended your name :) Hope to see you soon!
Bill, you bring a perspective to SEO, semantics and patents that's unique (and widely appreciated). As I've said before, as an industry, we're very lucky to have you with us ;)
Bill can you do this presentation in our webinar?
Umar already did his.
A talk from Bill last year on this subject was one of the most valuable and actionable presentations I've ever seen. Good call!
Thanks, Bill - very good to hear that you got a lot of traction out of that presentation I've submitted a pitch on Named Entities, so fingers crossed it gets approved.
Thank you, Tony. :)
So the day after wetting my appetite and (extensively) explaining (read: setting me straight) via Twitter on costs that are included in a MozCon ticket, Erica now posts this awesome teaser!
I may well be temped to pitch as a community speaker this year (and I'm due to attend my first MozCon - waaaay overdue), so I'll await the 2nd April details with eagerness.
I can feel the excitement already, way over the pond in the UK :)
I'd love to meet you in person finally, after all our Twitter chats across the pond. :)
Likewise Dustin and indeed, we've had quite a few :) A trip to the US will happen, but it'd have to be a tour, due to all the fab people I'd want to see and meet IRL for the first time, including you ;)
Mozcon video pack is always worth a purchase if you haven't attended the event. I'm still re-watching the videos from 2013 & 2014. Granted they don't replicate the awesome atmosphere of the event (loved being there last year), but they're still a great resource.
Live streams are terrible. Always.
They're generally not watched by many and 99% of the time run into technical issues.
This year will be my first MozCon -- can't wait to go! It'll be awesome to see a bunch of old and new faces.
Will humongous Roger be there again? :)
I believe Roger prefers the term "robust". :) He generally does make several appearances at MozCon.
Although I'm happy to see some of my favorite content peeps are a part of the '15 event, Mozcon has always done a great job of covering far more than SEO. I've learned a great deal about using data visualization, PR, branding, community building and business strategy from the event.
In the recent past, I've hoped more content strategists would attend, for the role content plays in all of online marketing is always underlying theme of the affair. Selfishly, I wanted more content strategists to attend since it would likely mean more content peeps are (a) better appreciating the relationship content has with SEO and (b) they are more receptive to working with SEOs.
Maybe '15 is the year my wish is granted :)
RS
My hope too. :D
It's looking really good. :)
Such a great lineup! I'd really like to see Will Scott speak once more. He did an awesome job at LocalUp
Looks like a lot of diverse topics this year including but not limited to SEO! :)
I hope one day I will attend MozCon for sure. Good Luck Moz!!
Can I watch this live?????
A live feed would be awesome!!!!!
Cornel
I am not involved at all in the organization, but no, a streaming of Mozcon is not previewed at the moment.
Sadly we do not have a live feed for MozCon, but we do sell the full videos after the conference for those who couldn't make it!
Here's a great comment from Phil Nottingham why streaming a live event, in a high quality manner, is pretty dang hard.
Thanks Erica, I've read Phill's Comment on MozCon 2013 post and trying to understand the things about live streaming.
Erica, Do I ask when this will be planned for India?
Hi Pankaj
People are paying $1500 for tickets and you want to watch it online? :) Well hopefully I Am wrong and we can watch it online but I doubt it. Plus some technical problems as erica has mentioned.
Henry
Thanks Moz, another great MozCon. See you in 2016!
Glad you had a blast! We'll see you next year. :D
Exciting stuff! I've said to myself for years that one year I'd take the plunge and head to MozCon, but starting a business + having a baby = less time and money...!
I'm actually considering applying for a community speaker slot this year, but even then I'd still have the issue of paying for travel, accommodation, food, drink, etc... It's costly business, travelling halfway across the world...! :-)
SPOILERS: This year, we're very happy to say that we'll be covering hotel (during MozCon) and up to a certain dollar amount for flight reimbursement for community speakers. (I had some extra speaker budget that I was able to move toward this.) :)
I think a lot of people go into these things with a bit of misplaced excitement. It's just getting to hear awesome and accomplished people give great talks, and yes, what they say may blow your mind, but most likely what will happen is you'll find bits and pieces to vindicate and supplement your knowledge. No real point to that, just wanted to say an actual, no strings "thank you" for sharing this. Hope you all enjoyed the conference!
I'd love to meet you in person finally, after all our Twitter chats across the pond. :
So looking forward to coming to Mozcon, my first time. Bit of a journey from the UK, but will be worth it. Shame the wife is due to give birth two weeks later otherwise I would of stayed around a bit longer to explore more of the city - but got to get back
You should definitely be there for your wife. You're lucky that she's letting you come to MozCon at all. :)
MozCon will be in Seattle in 2016 thats great....
When will the results for industry survey from Cyrus will be announced? I wish I could attend this mega event with so much to learn and celebrate knowledge at MozCon.
I would love to attend, there are issues that really interest me much, but it takes me too far, I live in Spain. Would be great to make puedierais live, or give us a summary of the event.
Enjoy those able to attend !!!
Every year we sell the videos after the event, so you can see the presentations and download the decks!
As I love to attend #MozCon . See if you approach soon Spain . Greetings !!
Well... we had a sort of mini-mini Mozcon last week in Valencia, with Rand, Aleyda Solís, Fernando Maciá, Bas van den Beld and Lisa Myers (and me, who organized that event: the Inbounder).
I am working on making it a yearly event.
We also want a Mozcon in Spain . !!
Erica explained several times how creating "local" Mozcons" is not viable because of logistics especially.
And we know how in Spain is impossible to ask people to pay for conferences more than a certain amount of Euros ...
They should look into what iStock did with the istockalypses ... Mini Lypses were happening everywhere a few years ago and it was FANTASTIC for the community. That being said, MozCon Australia would be INSANE.
Oh, shit, I forgot to buy my MozCon ticket! =)
Should be epic with this dream team lineup we got here!! Looking forward to hearing Dana DiTomaso. She rocks!
That would be awesome! I wish I could attend it. Still I would love to see some videos of MozCon 2015 later on.
Keep watching this space as when the videos go live, we'll post about it here! :D
So many experts together. It muss be really interessting!
Can't wait to see what comes up with the search engine changes happening before that & what awaits us online that will change & improve searches.
MozCon 2016 should be in Dubai, UAE :)
sir,
how you sure about the MozCon 2016 location???? do you have any information regarding that?????
We book MozCons out several years in the future because of the event space we use. For the foreseeable future, MozCon will be in Seattle.
I highly suggest starting your own events, when you're not seeing them in your area in your space. I founded another conference in a different space in Seattle due to a lack of one, and it was an amazing experience.
thanks Erica for that information
