Today marks a number of debates between myself and other SEOs in the business, primarily on topics surrounding the use of search engine spam or so-called "black hat" techniques for ranking websites.

First off is my conversation with Mick Sawyer (aka Earlgrey) who kindly submitted to a debate over e-mail that turned into quite an excellent inside look into many of the issues surrounding the white vs black-hat debate.

Second is another rousing row with my colleague Nick W over at Threadwatch, who feels that my posting on the subject of Google's sandbox is tad obvious. I try to defend my work when I think it's worthwhile, but since many of my visitors today are coming from the nice link at TW, I have little reason to complain.
