Over the last 3 years, I've made more than 2 dozen unique presentations. Anyone who's seen these knows that one of my signatures is an attempt at humor. Occassionally successful, often dismally sad (particularly with British audiences) and universally tacky, embedded comics have been a mainstay of almost every Powerpoint I've authored.
For no other reason than to share, I've collected some of these below as part of tonight's late-night blogging series (you can always tell when I'm busy at work because all the posts show up between 11:00pm and 2:00am):
When Rebecca returns from London, I might ask her to start playing around with our collection of vector comics (originally created by Mystery Guest) and see if she can't bring the humor up a notch. In the meantime - if you've found humorous content related to the world of search, please do share in the comments.
That is Hi-larry-ous! Good little distraction!
I found these clever SEO comics while searching for places to alert SEO folks to my own SEO comic, "Ranked Hard". Please take a look and leave some feedback.

If you have a funny story to tell, let us know and if we use it we'll give you credit...and links. ;-)
Thank you all
I'm crying in my PJs... So much for my dream to replace Scott Adams :)
Nice collection of SEO cartoons, Rand.
Well, I dont think people would mind a separate SEO Cartoons / Comics section on SEOMoz? ;)
I like the drawings but honestly the humor is pretty dry. I was going to hire you guys for seo but now that I see how unfunny you are, forget it.
hehe
Wait, wait, you haven't seen our arrow through the head gag!
These comics are actually funny, some of them at least. But I'm sure they could be upgraded.
I saw a (somewhat) funny text related to Search here: https://www.smallbusinesssem.com/2006/09/22/to...
I havent's been here for long but that one "Will the insults use Ajax?" sounds like Rebecca's humor.
Mystery Guest and I have a very similar sense of humor. I don't know if that makes Rand happy or exasperated at work ;)
While that is true, I have to put blame - er, credit - where credit is due. I didn't actually write any of the text/dialogue in the comics. I just did the original pen and ink drawings, which then were bastardized to meet Rand's evil agenda. I think of it as taking one of those god-awful dialogue stickers that you can put on printed photos (you know - the ones that say "Whoa - hot mama!" and other such profound things - hey, are these obsolete yet?) and slapping one on the Mona Lisa.
Yeah. That analogy is totally apt.
It's like you drew Calvin, and Rand stuck it on his F-150 and had him peeing on a Chevy logo. Frowny face.
My props have top go out for anyone who draws cartoons. Congrats.
I once had my own cartoon blog you can check out if you can: https://senhorantunesbd.blogspot.com/
It's in portuguese. But there's always babel...
Skitzzos_pop has also made some nice SEO Cartoons.
The best ones that I've seen are on Gaping Void. They're not all about the internet, let alone search, but a good portion of them are. And I'm afraid that they're funnier than Rand's (sorry!)
Nice collection guys. Keep em coming.
For other SEO comics, I've found a few good ones on blaugh.com
