Below are letters written to you all (yes, you!) from both Rand and Sarah.
The first is from Rand:
Dear Moz Community,
Wow. Ten years. It's been an incredible ride. Through the ups and downs (and there have been plenty of both), there haven't been many constants in my life—my wife, Seattle, and, strangely enough—you, the Moz community. From my first days on the blog and in the forums of the SEO world, when I was deeply in debt and had no idea how to dig my way out, to the incredible rush of 2007 and 2012 when we raised funding rounds and felt like the sky was the limit, you've been there. And in the darkest hours of the past decade, when I've felt the most alone, guilty, and insecure, you've been there, too.
I get to see many of you in person—at conferences and events around the world. But I get to see you right here on the web, too—on Twitter, in the comments, through my email. Your support, empathy, and unwavering belief that Moz could and would do great things has been a beacon of hope and a challenge that I constantly strive to meet.
A decade is a long time. Few things in our lives or in the world last that long—the average tech startup doesn't quite make two years. I'm honored and humbled that you've stuck with us all that time, and I promise that in the decade ahead, Moz will deliver more and better work in the areas you need most. We believe in making data that others hide transparent and accessible. We believe in delivering remarkable education and software that everyone can afford. We believe that all of this can be done not just without evil, but with real generosity of spirit and action.
Thank you for the ten remarkable years of warmth, friendship, and support. We absolutely couldn't have done it without you, nor can we take the next steps without your help. I hope you'll keep holding us to high standards, and telling us when we've met your expectations and when we've let you down.
With deep appreciation,
Rand Fishkin
Co-founder & individual contributor
Moz
The second letter is from Moz's CEO, and one of the company's earliest employees, Sarah Bird:
Dear Moz Community,
Moz is the steward of this community, but it's owned by everyone who contributes with posts, comments, shares, and visits. Many, many people have passed through the community, leaving an indelible mark. I get emotional remembering the humor and generosity of Goodnewscowboy. I'm grateful and relieved that Dana Lookadoo is still fighting the good fight. I'm STILL impressed with the solid that Rhea Drysdale did the SEO community when she fought a nasty trademark battle on the community's behalf. I salute all of the folks, and there have been many, who've been a force for good in my life and helped us all to take our game to the next level.
Our community is dynamic, but always TAGFEE. In fact, I've come to believe it is the truest expression of TAGFEE. People share openly and without a promise of getting anything in return (TAG). It's a positive and supportive environment to become your best professional self (FEE). I'm proud that the Moz community is one of the few places on the web I'm not afraid to read the comments; I seek them out because they are consistently insightful and stimulating.
Thank you to those who paused here for a bit before continuing on your journeys, and for those who have stuck with us. There are people out there RIGHT NOW who haven't yet discovered the Moz community, and who are going to help us keep it amazing in the future. I can't wait to meet them. Without all of you, there is nothing here.
It's been 10 years, but there is still a lot to learn and a lot to teach. It still feels like day one. The pace of innovation has increased, and the stakes are higher. We strive to share, adapt, and become the most TAGFEE and impactful professionals we can be. Thank you for creating a space to do that every day. Together, we dig deeper and go farther than would be possible without each other. Let's keep it going and growing for the next ten years.
Hugs and High Fives,
Sarah Bird
CEO

If you have any fun or interesting memories from the last 10 years, whether they're related to Moz, SEO, or whatever you think we might like to hear about (we're feeling awfully nostalgic), please share them in the comments below!
Happy Birthday Moz :-)
And... as Moz means also - if not only - one of the biggest and engaged global SEO and Web Marketers community, let me add my personal "Moz events", because Moz surely had a huge presence in my professional and personal life:
What about your "Moz dates"?
And, hopefully, next year, we'll see in you Valencia! :-)
Thank you for all of your contributions Gianluca. There would be no community without people like you bringing their passion and ideas. hugs!
Aww Gianluca, you're making me teary eyed thinking about all those dates! While I don't remember your first comment, I do remember working with you on some early YouMoz posts. :) I will also never forget the wonderful dinner in your home in Valencia with your lovely wife! I was so excited I got to meet your kids as well. That's what real friendships are made of. :) Thanks for being a part of this community and my friend!!
Happy Birthday Moz! And thank you for changing my life, on multiple occasions.
1. Thank you for introducing me to SEO.
2. Thank you for giving me the knowledge to start a new career in online marketing.
3. Thanks for giving me the tools to do my job.
4. Thanks for giving me a job. Literally!
5. Thank you for MozCon.
6. Thanks for 100s of community members you've introduced me to.
7. Thank you for TAGFEE
8. Thank you for pushing me, my websites, and my interactions with other humans to be better.
9. Thanks for the cupcakes. I didn't need them.
10. Thanks for the hugs.
Happy birthday my dearest Moz! :)
Being a Mozzer has literally changed my life for the better, as well as my family's. I've loved seeing the company grow from that small company that all fit around a table for pizza the day I started in 2009, until today when we take up a huge "cafeteria" type room. I've been through some of the hardest times of my life here, and the other Mozzers and the magnificent community has always been there for me.
Being a part of this community for more than 7 years, and as a Mozzer for almost 6, I've met some of the most giving, knowledgeable and trolly people in the world. :) And I thank you all for that!
I thought I'd take Gianluca up on his request to get others to show their Moz timeline, so here goes:
2007 - I started reading the SEOmoz blog and slowly finding my way away from web development & into SEO.
June 2008 - I attended my first SEO conference, SMX Advanced & met both Rand and Gillian.
June 9, 2008 (my birthday) - I signed up for my SEOmoz PRO account thanks to Lindsay Wassell.
November 2008 - Went to PubCon on my own dime looking for a job, and sent Gillian my resume. :)
April 13, 2009 - Got the job of my dreams, SEO Consultant with SEOmoz. Working remotely from Denver.
January 2010 - We gave up consulting, I started managing the SEOmoz Community AND my family and I moved to Seattle.
The rest, as we say... is history. :) Perhaps I should write a more detailed post, with my crazy path to Moz.
I <3 you all, thank you for all the awesome!
Happy Birthday, Moz! It's been almost 8 years now since I joined the community, watched it grow up, and even saw some of my fellow community members build their own successful companies (our friends at Distilled, SEER, and Builtvisible, to name a few). I've gone from wide-eyed commenter, to contributer, to contractor, to employee, and every step has been better than the last.
Pete - it's been an honor and a privilege to have you in our community, on our team, and, most of all, to have you as a friend. Your love of awful movies, comittment to making Google more transparent, and willingness to drink whatever Matt Brown puts in front of you have made Moz a better place :-)
Thank you for bringing your experience, generosity, and humor to the moz community for this long. You're one of the brightest lights in our Moz sky. Thanks for the inspiration and the laughs Dr. Pete!
I just wanted to post a quick note to thank Moz and Rand specifically for everything that you do. I owe my second career to you -- no exaggeration.
In 2007, I was laid off from my last job in journalism. Then, after doing some MBA studies, I found that I loved marketing -- but it was very difficult to find a job for a couple of years after the global recession hit. It's not an exaggeration to say that I lived on rice, pita bread, and hummus for a while.
However, I randomly stumbled upon an SEO article written by Rand here -- I don't remember which one, unfortunately -- and I immediately fell in love with the industry. I've been a reader and community contributor ever since. Slowly but surely, I learned more and more, started to build and market my own websites, joined a few tech startups in Tel Aviv, and eventually found my way now into leading the digital practice for a global marketing firm. I've presented on three continents, and I'm even giving a Mozinar tomorrow. :)
It's a long, convoluted story that I've thought about putting into a YouMoz post to share my personal journey and growth over the years in order to give some thoughts on how people who are just getting into digital marketing can grow their careers. (But I'm not sure such a post would interest anyone...)
Regardless, here's my point: I don't know if Rand will see this comment, but I just wanted to tell him and Moz that I cannot thank you enough. I was in tough times, but I found my new career direction completely thanks to a random blog post by Rand that I read some years ago. You've done so much for the community, but you've also helped people like me in ways that you'll probably never know. I'm sure countless others will say the same thing. :)
I feel ya! Meeting Rand changed my career too! I'm doing what I love, and I wouldn't have found that without Rand and this community.
Thanks so much Samuel. It means a ton to me that Moz and I have been helpful in your second career. Thrilled to have you as part of our community - and awesome to have you contributing a Mozinar here!
Wish you all the best
This brought a big smile to my face :-) Love you guys!
THE DANNY DOVER!!!!!
The first Developer's Cheat Sheet! Danny, you're another great example of someone who brought us all along on your journey to be the best internet marketer you could be. I'm so proud of how far you've come, and grateful for everything you've done for Moz. xo
What a great journey so far...Rand!!!!!!!!!!
I started my first day of my job with SEOmoz beginner guide several years ago, and from that day I come here daily in search of some good tips, tricks, guide, ideas and innovation.
Thank you for all these wonderful guides & experiences, Moz(Rand).
A little cake for entire Moz Team,

Love some great ASCII art first thing on a Monday!
It's very popular in India. :-)
Of-course.It is.
:-)
That's a nice looking cake!
I believe you tasted it :P
Wow. 10 years. I remember randfish on SEO chat and the split to syndk8 like it was yesterday. Congrats on making so many people happy for so long. That's what it is all about, right?
All my love to all of you as you meet the challenges of the decade ahead.
oh... Between my Moz moments I cannot forget the great time having dinner I had with you and the Fishkin patriarch :-)
I was thinking of that as well. What a wonderful time we had and what a delightful city Valencia is... Rand: DEFINITELY go in 2015.
Hooray for 10 years of Moz! Thank you so much—
-for giving me the tools and resources that got me started in the SEO industry;
-for believing in me enough to move me halfway across the country;
-for giving me, seriously, the best job;
-for introducing me to some of the best friends I've ever had;
-for making this industry, and the internet itself, a better place for everyone. :)
Awesome video, you guys!
I freakn' love you guys - and the transparency is something I have
implemented within my own tactics. Your community has been a major part of my business and my overall growing success.
Your pal,
Chenzo
Happy 10th Birthday Moz & a huge THANK YOU back!
It all started with an initial "investment" of a $1 trial offer. What Moz didn't tell me was that introduction included:
1) A worldwide community that thrives on excellence, sharing and growth.
2) A university of tools, blogs, resources and training that has helped web marketers excel in their craft.
3) A Whiteboard Friday that provides a continuous stream of knowledge - Fridays without them just aren't the same!
4) Watching the Moz team develop through struggles and challenges, yet providing inspirations to everyone.
5) A sense of belonging where, when our industry is challenged, ranks are closed and support / guidance is openly given.
When I first started DWM (and for the first few years thereafter) blog posts helped me understand so many new aspects of running a business, client relations and goal-setting that I don't know if I'd still be in business without them.
In the early days, some blog posts seemed to speak directly to me and my unique situation (and I'm sure I'm not the only one to say this). I'm convinced that someone at Moz was spying on me and releasing posts as and when I needed to read them when I was experiencing various obstacles.
One of the elements that sets Moz apart from many other organisations is your TAGFEE guiding principles, especially when broaching sensitive issues or when divulging information that other companies would much rather put a spin on. IMO honesty is the #1 necessity in our industry and it's refreshing to see you guys and girls make that your #1 priority too.
In recent months, I've defended TAGFEE rigorously online. Why? TAGFEE gives you (and your community) an ethos to work and live by - and in an industry so often filled with cynicism and negativity, I applaud you for being resolute in your continuing commitment to this.
Now, a few words reserved for Rand..
One of the first videos I saw was of you presenting your background and history of Moz; how you persisted through the dark days of debt and how you never gave up your goal of achieving the success you aspired to. I can remember thinking at the time "Shit, if he can do this, then so the hell can I" - so, to me personally, you've been an inspiration.
But much more than this, both myself and all the community have shared your hopes, changes and pains, especially when Wil Reynolds and you swapped roles, when Sarah became CEO and recently when you had the guts to be open about your depression and let us into your journey of recovery. In many ways, your journey and adventures are ours too.
As I said to you during our convo on Twitter last week, you've been an inspiration to many in ways that you'll never know. And that's the beauty of it - not knowing who you've helped on their own journey. Well, there's one you now know of.. Me ;-)
Here's to another 10 years of fun, growth, learning.... and this :D
Thank you for your continued support of TAGFEE and for helping us build that community of excellence, sharing and growth. I love how you phrased that!
How time passes by!! I have been a Mozzer pretty early from the beginnings and watching the video and reading the letters from Rand and Sarah right now almost made me feel nostalgic. Congratulations to all the team who helps us learning new things each day for the last 10 years!
A startup surviving 10 years is an accomplishment. A startup surviving 10 years and fostering a community as rich and generous as this one is extraordinarily rare! Congrats on 10 years, and here's to the next 10 being event better.
I was looking for data on this recently and saw CB Insights' startup RIP report. Looks like the avg startup lasts only ~20 months from funding. Definitely feeling very lucky today.
Sorry I'm late to this post. I think it was 2006 when our paths became properly entangled. Before that, I had only hung out in the comments and admired from afar, but late that year, we met up with Rebecca Kelley and Jason on their trip to London which led to the infamous dinner at Boisdale (remember the soup, Gillian?).
The rest was history:
Along the way, we've written hundreds of posts, spoken at each others' conferences, and collaborated on all kinds of things, but more importantly, we've become real friends. Thank you for trusting the small, green British agency way back when.
It's our 10-year anniversary in early 2015. What a ride.
Congrats Rand, people's trust is your real strength.
I can't describe in words your contribution & guidance to help in career of many guys like me as a straggler to SEO Manager in just 3.5 years, consistently well performed just because of Moz support which give logical and effective content to follow.
wish well you grow and help us forever.... (y)
Happy Birthday, Moz and what an accomplishment! :) I started reading the Moz blog in June of 2010 after being introduced to the Moz community by my amazing boss and mentor at the time, Dave Minchala. He had me read the Beginner's Guide to SEO, which really helped me learn the basic principles of search and every day, our team of 3 would diligently read the Moz blog as our first task of the day. We especially enjoyed the data-driven and experimental ones, as well as the high-level future of search blog posts written by Rand. It really helped propel the conversations we had as a team. I can't tell you how inspirational and motivating it was to find the Moz community and to realize none of us had to figure out how to navigate this industry/this specialty on our own.
In June 2011, I joined the Distilled NYC team and from the very beginning, the Moz team was extremely warm and welcoming. Every time the Moz team visited NYC, they'd email us and we'd meet up, even though their schedules were often times very hectic. In those early days of being at Distilled, those little touch points meant so much to me.
Thank you so much, Moz for being there throughout the years and for creating this amazing community that brings this world closer together. :)
LOVED the video and Rand's stache! Felt very nostalgic watching and remembering the family's growth! CONGRATS!
Sarah I am humbled and HONORED for your mention and caring so much to include me in your letter to and about the Moz community! Gosh...Moz has been there for me throughout the years, and now that I'm dealing with this spinal cord injury as my primary focus, it feels wonderful to be remembered as a mozzer! Always will be and can't thank you enough! Much LOVE, dear friend!
<3 you Dana!
We think about you all the time Dana! Just because you're focusing on other stuff right now doesn't mean you lose your mozzer status! You're a mozzer now and forever! xoxo
Happy Birthday Moz!
You have always been there when we needed you with the news, discussion, analysis and - most importantly - the way forward in an industry that changes lightening fast.
I have enjoyed seeing this community and brand grow and evolve over the years. I've always wanted to work with Moz in some capacity, and have lately had the good fortune and privilege to regularly work with and learn from the people of Moz, as well as the greater community. It has been a dream come true for me. Thank you and happy birthday!
Dear Rand, Moz and all Mozzers past and present,
Ya'll have created a shining example of how a company can succeed in a competitive and capitalist world, without having to be douche-bags. In fact, you've excelled by being the exact opposite.
So thanks, and well done, for proving it's possible.
One thousand points to each and every one of you.
Andre
First of all Congratulation to the MOZ team and community!
More than anything else, I have always admired MOZ for their knowledgeable posts and case studies (shared by them and other community members). Few years back, as a newbie in the field of Internet marketing, I always used to look for guides. solutions and techniques over MOZ (and other online sources). I was learning then, I am learning now and will continue to do so in future.
One of the best things about MOZ as a source for learning about internet marketing is - it's here for everyone irrespective of their experience level. As a fresher, one can easily learn about SEO from their Beginners Guide, at the same time various case studies and tips are available on their official blog and UGC for everyone.
They came up with a new design for their website (MOZ) sometime back that was more pleasant and engaging to the readers.
Personally, I had some interaction with a MOZ member - Cyrus Shepard, who is an amazing person by heart, always on his toes to help you out and guide you.
Thanks for the all the support over the years for all of us.
Thank you Praveen! It's folks like you in the community that make it all worth it.
Happy Birthday Moz! You've made double digits, well done. My tenth birthday was spent on an aeroplane, I hope yours is more fun! Moz you inspire me in my work, and I think have helped give me confidence to widen my scope beyond just SEO into marketing, and now I'm getting a professional qualification. Not all thanks to you (my boss must be thanked too, you see) but you've certainly given me the confidence to go for it. Thank you.
That's wonderful! I love that this is a place you can come to be supported, inspired, and pushed to meet your potential. We're all getting better together. :) Keep it up!
You've gone on to become a household name for our team (the amount of times we have mentioned the name Rand Fishkin to none SEO folk as if it were a celebrity name is incredible)
You've helped us train a team of digital marketers for the future and present, and we still look forward to whiteboard Friday every week!
Congratulations on ten great years guys, here's to ten more!
Thanks everyone for being part of our wonderful community and our journey! :)
Some Mozzy things that have brightened my life over that last 10 years:
- Taught me how to be an SEO through educational resources from 2007 through now.
- On my 3rd try, employed me. :) I'm celebrating 3 years at Moz next week!
- Enables me to co-run and brings me joy in developing MozCon every year since 2012.
- Met my partner at a Moz Wine Friday. =D
- Allowing me to learn and grow in my career.
- Still challenging me (and everyone else) to be better marketers.
Happy birthday (SEO)Moz! You guys have built a great site, a strong brand, and friendly community! Glad to have been able to be a part of your journey so far, and hope to see your site continue to grow in the future!
Congratulations on ten years! Working on SEO in-house, the Moz community has become such an important resource for me, for questions and answers and for sharing and discussion.
Thank you to Rand and the whole Moz team for giving me the inspiration, education, and tools to build a career for myself right out of high school while fulfilling some of my most prized life-long dreams. It's been quite the journey! :)
Here's to another 10!
It's really weird to get to know that the company that you always knew as a big one was a small one back in the day. Great job, you guys!
Awwww - Happy Birthday Moz!
I first found Moz sometime in 2008 (it's not my name on the account anymore, it was a company account for my previous agency and it's got someone else's name on it now).
Here's my first post: https://moz.com/ugc/rogue-ppc-results-from-google
So very, very green :)
Today thanks to Moz (and many, many others in this generous community) I am now slightly less so.
I made friends with a bunch of other UK SEOs, and Will and Duncan foolishly hired me at Distilled around 4 years ago (I'm guessing they didn't read that post).
Big love to you all & here's to the next decade!
Hannah x
(I know I'm a day or two late on this post, but that's what happens on midterm week.)
Rand & Sarah, I'm in. As long as you, your great team (Erica, Cyrus, Jen, Dr. Pete, et al.) and this awesome community can keep going, I'm along for the ride.
Without Moz and Distilled, I am absolutely certain I would not be the professional that I am today, nor would I have the same level of confidence in leading my team.
When I started by new career in the Fall of 2011, I was brought on to do User Testing for our web design team, and that quickly evolved into being the primary "SEO" for this massive enterprise. To get me jump-started, my boss tweeted me two links, one was to Moz and the other was to a far darker place that I never really went back to.
True story, just last week we went over the Beginners Guide with our recently-hired interns as a jumping off point for what we thought they need to know. If the only thing I teach the next generation of marketers is where to go for great resources, you've at least helped me accomplish that.
I always felt very lucky to get a chance at a new career, but it was some time around my visit to the old Moz office (Thanks again for the tour, Erica) that I really started to understand TAGFEE and gained an intense appreciation for how doing this type of marketing can really amount to just helping people out. Help people find what they are already looking for, make their day a little easier so that they can spend more time doing what they love, and they will always reward us for it. I like to think that's the story of our company, and it's very evident that's the story of Moz.
If there is ever a way I can give back for what I've learned over the last three years, I'm there.
Happy Birthday Moz & Genius Team !!!!!!
This is the community & the company I will always owe in my life. If I am smiling today because of you great people. I have learned ABC of internet marketing from your Beginner's Guide & still getting lot of new knowledge from your blog post & implementing in my daily & experiencing the excitement results.
I wish you all brilliant people in Moz for good health & amazing successful years ahead & keep contributing your knowledge to this complex SEO world. Because your little help building careers of many around the planet.
WOW! A letter... for me? Jeeze. I am humbled and honored ; )
But seriously, Happy Birthday Moz! You are truly an inspiration in what you've accomplished and continue to deliver to the industry we all cherish so much. Moz has helped our company grow in ways that wouldn't have been possible with out the tools, community and expertise you continue to provide.
Thank you all (individually) once again and here's to another decade of greatness! #TEAMMOZ
For 6 of those years Moz has been of great value to me. It's much appreciated Rand!
I spent my first few weeks at Distilled reading the Beginner's Guide to SEO, and watching as many Whiteboard Friday's as I could. Like many of the commenters on here (and many, many other people, I'm sure), you really gave me a great start and helped steer me in the right direction. Prior to that, I'd consumed so much misleading SEO advice. It was a relief to find such a rich, valuable and trustworthy resource. As my boss would say, up and to the right!
In 2004 I was first tasked at my new job to figure out this SEO thing and how to make Google like our sites. I ran across SEO Chat (#1 SEO forum at the time) and this guy who went by the name "randfish". His avatar was yellow shoes (handlebar mustaches were not a thing yet). He was very insightful and kept posting these handy (and free) tools (I remember using a very early version of Open Site Explorer). Wound up being an early adopter of Moz Pro.
Keep up the good work.
Congratulations to Moz. Keep up the good work (...) and hugs for Roger. :-)
Many many congratulations to Moz for these incredible 10 years. I wish heartfelt thanks to the entire Moz team and the community for constant support, guidance, motivation, fun, inspiration and thousand other things that brings me back here everyday. Moz is a great place for personal and professional development, and we all hope that it remains the same for years to come. Kudos for always being the torchbearer of the industry.
Congratulations! I have been a regular reader of Moz articles for last 5 years (when it was SEOMOZ). Thanks for providing the high quality content, it always helped in updating my SEO knowledge. There are a very few learning resource like Moz in the Internet Marketing world.
Its been a great journey with the moz team till now. Thank you for some incredible tools and a great community to share SEO experiences and lean from them. Keep up the great work!
Happy 10yr Anniversary, Moz! Great video, Rand and from someone who only got started in the community back in 2011/2012, it's nice to see all the progression from 2004 and whopping 8yrs already up and running before I got with it and subscribed. You've helped me grow from just doing HTML websites to now doing much more in that field, but also now helping clients get found online. I'm learning something new everyday and checking the QA and Moz Blogs is one of my first tasks of the day.
Thank you! And cheers to many, many more years and me being a part of the evolution of Moz! - Patrick
Gotta say, I have learnt a lot from here and the community is absolutly awesome! Congrats and well done :)
Congratulations! You've made me a fan in the last few years, keep up the good work!
Here's to another 10 years of inspiration, great ideas & delight!
Cheers to all 130 of you.. no wait.. cheers to the whole community :)
Y'all rock.
I haven't left a comment here in a long time. Thanks for everything MOZ. You had helped me land a few clients with your SEO tools. The video was great and brought back some memories.
Be lated happy birthday ! Best wishes to your next journe.
A big congrats to everybody at Moz!!! Bloody well done for making us far better at marketing.
Belated happy 10 years guys!
You have truly helped guide my SEO journey for the better. Every time I implement something I learn from your blog, I get some pretty positive results for my clients. Oh, how terrible life would be if not for Whiteboard Fridays :)
Congratulations and happy birthday Moz! :) Thank you for everything you all have done.
Congratulations MOZ team, Trellis has certainly benefited from the MOZ community and PRO platform and will be investing more into in the years to come as our marketing / SEO team grows.
As a total newbie to the MOZ community, and to SEO in general, I can honestly say the past 9 months have been thrilling. The MOZcon really helped me get a sense of the direction I wanted to go in my life and in my career. Thanks for being such a great company full of such great people. MOZ truly is a beacon of how companies should be ran. Peace and chicken grease MOZzers.
Don't let Roger eat too much cake! contratu-welldone!
Congrats all Moz team I remember once I tweeted to @Rand saying "NO SUPRISE WHEN YOU DO GREAT JOB, YOU'RE AWARDED" and I received a special thanks from @rand I kept it in the cloud (RAND THX Mohammed) You're awesome and we can notice this mentality even through MOZ Support tools... Have good another deaced .. cheers
Dear Rand and Moz Team,
Many Many Happy returns of the day! I have learned so much from you and I am so thankful to you for being such a great guide.
You are a great company and everyone has a lot to learn you. Ultimately, what I have learnt from you is "Its not about creating hype, it's about helping your customers"
Thanks!
Regards,
Sanchit
Nice video but can I just check something... Is Carin super-excited or just plain excited?
Super-excited, of course!! :)
Phew! Thanks for clearing that up Carin :)
Oh my, this brings back so many memories! I found out about SEOmoz in 2006 through the eBay help forums, where Miriam Ellis of Solas Web Design recommended that I check out the "Beginner's Guide to SEO" for my relatively new website, and I was hooked! Loved reading the blog (especially Rand, Matt, Jane, Rebecca, and Sarah's early legal posts - oh, and Danny!) and was so gratified that I, a homeschooling mom, would be welcomed to the community with open arms.
I was at that first seminar! I'll never forget the thrill of having posts published at YOUmoz. I've made friends here, learned a ton here, and still look back on this place as the foundation of my SEO and marketing education. Thanks guys, here's to 10 more years!
Happy Birthday to all at Moz!
If it wasn't for you guys I would not be where I am today!
I suppose I would be somewhere else!!!
All the best and keep it comin!
Thank you for all the knowledge throughout the years and insight to the newest industry issues. I have to say that this community is one of the reasons I love my profession.
I am a non technical person and the only little SEO I have learned is here reading posts, guides and watching Whiteboard Friday here at MOZ. A big thank you to all at MOZ for being such a wonderful group that you are always sharing your Gyan ( Sanskrit for knowledge). Many congratulations for awesome 10 years and wishing the very best for the future. :) :) :)
Congratulation Rand and Moz Team!

Happy Birthday Moz! Here's to many more years of being awesome!
Happy Birthday!! :)
Congrats guys!
I've been perusing the blog since 2009 and been a member in my own right (with my own personal profile) since 2011, and I had genuinely no idea that the Beginner's Guide and SRF started all the way back in 2005. I thought they were newer (I thought the SRF started in 2009, and the BG was honestly even newer - maybe 2011/12). Really impressive that they're both 9-years-old. Well done!
Just saw this post from the other day. Happy Birthday Moz! Rand, I met you at PubCon in 2009 - I knew nothing about SEO or digital marketing at the time and dove head-first into the industry with that conference. At that time, I was paying a spammy SEO company to "do" SEO for my startup at the time. You took the time to sit down and talk to me and explain the industry and how SEO really works. From that point, I have been a huge fan of moz and your tools/conferences/community. Keep up the good work!
Congratulations! This is just MOZOME!
Happy happy belated 10th birthday wishes. Love Moz! How I ever found you, I don't know, but I am sooooooooo glad I did. #LearnedSoMuch #CantThankYouEnough ....and may you have many more happy birthdays!
#TearyEyes What a great video and OMG 10 YEARS! You did it. I know it wasn't always easy, multiplying like Gremlins in this offbeat and often unstable industry, but you f'n did it. I love you guys (and Geraldine!) and I miss you tons and congratulations on getting over the 10 year mark. Looking forward to what the future holds. I'm thinking it's kids and a farm, but that's another story.
Congratz! 10 years has gone, and a lot of years is comming ...
I was at mozconf last year and have a lot of new ideas ... great conference ...
See you all next year at mozconf
Love you man! Great video, its been a fun and wild ride as a long time consumer of SEOmoz... Moz.com! Congrats to the whole team!
Belated happy anniversary and heartiest congratulations to the entire Moz team. It's been a great privilege to be associated with you guys in some way or the other. I follow some of you on Twitter and I must say learning from you, whether it's a random blog post, Friday Whiteboard, or even a reply on Twitter, has had tremendous impact on me. Thanks for being the smartest, funnest and most enthusiastic community in the SEO world for this our world would NOT be what it is today without your valuable contribution. Thanks!
Happy Birthday Moz, Congratulations on completing a journey of 10 years.
I love the video and the moz history. Rand you are my all time favorite online marketing celebrity. I learn a lot from your posts on moz and also from other mozzers. In fact our industry cannot be run without Mozzers and Moz blog.
Happy birthday guys. I have been with you all these days as a normal learner. Thanks for all the hard work and support.
Congrats! Ten years is a great accomplishment and thank you for helping the seo community interact, gain knowledge and having something to look at during the tedious work day :)
Happy Birthday MOZ Team!!
10 years is a century in Internet! Thanks for all you have done and all you are going to do. :-)
Happy B'day Moz..
Wishing you all the best
MOZ you are unique, stellar, and hold a very crucial role for and as a community for inbound marketing. Many thanks!
On the "things-I-noticed" note, office plants as a backdrop ... just dont show it to the Wistia folks ;)
Also curious do you still refer to yourselves, as startup after ten years?
Congrats, not many people in marketing that have achieved so much in ten years! Here is to another ten years #cheers
A very happy birthday to all of you and many thanks for the incredible work you done. I feel privileged each time to read yours blog and use yours software. Much obliged.
Awesome stuff (although when I read the title I thought OMG Moz is closing or Rand is leaving!) thankfully that is not the case
Happy Birthday and here is to the next ten+ years!
Woohoo. Congrats Moz. Don't know where I would be without you. Keep it up.

THX for introducing me to an SEO world, wich was so far away from that, what many SEO guys in germany talk about.
Thank you for the posts (wich t3n publishes), but one week earlier ;)
Thanks for an example wich shows, that a keyword in a domain name is not so important, as I thought bevore.
Wishing a very very Happy Birthday Moz..!!
I'm very thankful to Moz and its Community (from Seomoz-->YouMoz-->>Moz) for sharing awesome knowledge and experience. I started my career as an SEO with SEOmoz beginner's guide, and till date I recommend Moz to all internet marketing folks.
