...but it looks like I'll be permanently extending my stay in Worthing. You guys just can't compete with obscene amounts of free tea, a location next to the English Channel, pale yellow walls, and the ability to bring your dog into work. Now all I have to do is overcome my constant fear of crossing the street, and I'll be a UK SEO to be reckoned with*.
(Matt, please take a photo of Rand passed out on his office floor from overwhelming grief and email it to me. If he instead pops open a bottle of champagne and starts dancing a jig while singing "Ding dong, the witch is gone," then don't send that photo to me.)
*obviously, I'm kidding :)
Sorry, SEOmoz...

"It’s been a quiet week" in Lake Seattle (with apologies to Garrison Keiller). But I don’t think it’s the torrential rain keeping spirits quiet at SEOmoz. I think it’s the absence of Rebecca. Sure, there are few laughs, but your absence is really noticeable!
So, I’ll say what the rest of the team won’t, lest your head gets too heavy to hold up and all that: have a blast, learn lots, and come home to us soon!
Thanks, Gillian. It really means a lot hearing that. Hopefully I'm doing SEOmoz proud over here, but you'd have to grill Ammon about that later. In the meantime, I'll try and dig up some dirt on him so I can blackmail him into saying positive stuff :D
You have to come back! Who will laugh at my ridiculous Tim Gunn impressions and trash talk Jeffrey's designs?!
We miss you.
Well may see you round in Worthing - one of our offices is there too... I know it has a lot of All day English breafast cafes... I don't know about the tea cakes - it's not the end of the world there - but it is close!
Sorry Rebecca, it looks like most everybody forgot about you already. They're all at the post below sharing sites. Just kidding of course, keep us informed about your adventures in Worthington. Cheers!
Oh I see. Whoops. In that case Worthing is a excellent place with a vibrant social scene and a plentiful supply cultural inspiration. It's by the sea, has some beautiful parks and a lively nightlife network. Its also only 15mins to Brighton, or you could get a Mountain Bike and ride up and over the South Downs to the sleepy village of Steyning for a great cuppa in the highstreet tea room.
PS Sorry to put down Worthing when you've just arrived. Please accept my review of Brown Sauce as some form of an apology. Brown sauce is a truely british condiment, and IMO far superior to ketchup. It really is the ONLY sauce to have on your chips. Be aware though brand does matter, HP is the one (they have been making it for more than 100 years) DO NOT go for the 'own brand' alternatives, they suck.
BTW Good luck with the internship.
Haha, no worries. I did enjoy London a lot, but Worthing is quaint and interesting. I am here to work, after all. Thanks for the well wishes.
Why Worthing? You come all this way and go to Worthing? I don't get it. London, fine, but Worthing!? If you get this message and you're still down in Sussex, get over to Brighton. Its a cosmopolitan coastal city, a mini London by the sea. Can you tell I live in Brighton? Actually Worthing is not all that bad, but its not great either.
Worthing is where the internship is, Teacake! It's like saying "Why aren't you in Melbourne?"
"Why aren't you in Melbourne?"
Because no one in their right mind goes to Melbourne when you can always come to Queensland :)
I love Central London, it's one of the reasons I don't stay near my office in Richmond when I am here. The commuite is a pain but worth it.
You mean you do want the photographic record if Rand pops open a bottle of champagne and starts dancing a jig while singing "Ding dong, the witch is gone,"? ;)
You're kidding?
I would have never guessed! :D
Rebecca misunderstands. We would only sing that if a house fell on top of her.
I kid! I kid! I miss her desperately. No one here understands my jokes.
