A friend forwarded me the portfolio of San Francisco based copywriter, Chris Elzinga. Sadly, the site is in frames, so I can't link directly to the ads I found compelling. It's OK, though, his entire collection of work is really worthy of a read - devilishly clever and unabashedly charismatic. What Chris has done is to instill personality and character to the brands he writes about and create print ads that go above and beyond the call.
My personal favorite:
Sources tell me he's up for an ADDY Award - hope you win it, Chris.
Addy and Telly Awards are being announced. It's his first year with entries. So far - FIFTEEN AWARDS!
The guy is really original and I like his sense of humour. Is he in SEO yet? If not, he should: he would have lots of opportunities with people looking for good link bait...
One of the best copywriting sites I've seen. It would be cool if the web design kept up. Thanks for pointing this out.
My favorite quote, "Not the Of Mice and Men kind of simplicity, mind you. The other kind."
