It's bloggregation time. Let's get right to it:
- Bill Slawski wrote about Google Personalization Methods. The lowdown is that Google is building profiles of users based on dozens of web activities to which they're privy (through ads and apps and searches and more). This data is being used to improve your search experience (which, in the SEO world, also translates to reducing our spam efficacy).
- First Feedvertising, now the Blog Juice Calculator. Congrats to the stolen SEOmozzer, Marie - great idea and a terrific interface.
- Todd's right about GUIs; I'm not sure why this still isn't second nature. I can't remember the last executive I saw arriving to a meeting in a beat-up Honda CRV from 1992.
- Nice post on paid link opportunities from wheel at Threadwatch
- One of the most popular blogs on the web, Blogoscoped, has a list of 10 blog writing recommendations that are basic, but very solid.
- I'm going to Pubcon, Aaron's going to Pubcon, Jeff & Jane (who've never been to an industry event before) are going to Pubcon. You should go too. It's only $489!
- Jim's got an impressive team - bravo! I hope we can replicate his level of success.
- Kim's talking about business and consulting ethics with a friendly list of Q+As.
- In 2007, I'm making China a priority and joining Ian & David's China Search Marketing Tour.
- Nobody seems to like Congress' recent decision to ban online gambling in the US. Some think it unneccessarily restrics personal freedom, other think it will fund terrorism. Honestly, I couldn't find a news article that painted it as a smart decision on the part of the legislative branch.
- Three words are all you need to know about writing successfully? I'm skeptical.
- Nice Google office pictures right? What a difference narrative tone can make. :)
- I sent this to Mystery Guest early this week and made her day. Save it for when you're in the doghouse.
- If you do enjoy roundup-style posts, I personally think Lisa Barone is doing a bang-up job. I would totally hire her away if it wasn't for the nasty non-compete clauses I've heard about.
Any big ones I missed?
Great bloggertation again. I love Marie's Blog Juice Calculator, wow she was a steal! Glad to know you're joining us on the China Search Marketing Tour, it will be a blast. Thanks for the link by the way and hope to see you in Chicago.
rand, I am sooo in the doghouse. In fact, somewhere up in a pigeon coupe is probably more realistic since we don't see many dog houses here in the city and being stuck with a bunch of dirty pigeons is way worse than chilling outside with the dog... anyway, thanks for the link man, I sent that ish right away =]
I wish you luck, Ryan. Hope you make it back to your bedroom.
Oh, Rand you've missed on all of my posts. ;-)
I'll see you at the PubCon.
P.S. By the way ... how do I change my nick name IgorMord ? I just need to complete my last name.
Just shoot me an email and I can fix it :)
Would the first round of article entries for the Marketing Pilgrim Search Engine Marketing contest judging count?
Good call, Kim. Definitely worth a mention.
You missed that I finally followed up on the Technorati experiment ;) https://www.oilman.ca/communities/technorati-t...
