Speaking on the topic of major events that could cause a search engine's downfall, Wired's Adam Penenberg wrote an article yesterday titled "Beware the Google Threat". Mr Penenberg's concerns center around Google's incrased access to every facet of a human's search for knowledge - from the desktop to finances to monitoring their visits via the toolbar to reading our e-mails. Is this a real case of a corporation with too much access to personal data or is it simply the responsibility of the consumer to make sure they don't let their lives revolve around Google's many services?
