- ClickZ has an interesting article about AJAX and web analytics. This is an important article for all AJAX users planning to monetize their website with advertising incomes.
- AdLogger is an interesting tool for analyzing AdSense beyond Google's reports. It has some very nice options and if you are a skilled programmer, I think you can come up with extensions to put things even further.
- Good keyword services are hard to come by, so I'm going to share a secret... eBay has a service called eBay Pulse, which is pretty nice when you attach it to other keyword services. The best part is that Pulse is available in all countries eBay exists; all you need to do is to change the domain part (for example https://pulse.ebay.ca shows what Canadians seek and buy) . Correctly used this is a tool worth a big pile of bucks and it opens windows to areas where you normally have problems finding keywords.

Because of being extremely busy at the moment, I'm going to make this post short and sweet. Below are some links that allow to see what I consider the best /most important reads during the past week:
Hey 2k thanks for the post and the mention of eBay pulse :)
I wanted to also point you in the direction of the eBay API which exposes some of our pulse functionality in even more depth. GetPopularKeywords (returns 1000 keywords per category for any eBay category on any site - yes even china). The GetPopularKeywords API can be seen here: GetPopularKeywords and is totally free. A little eBay tag cloud app I built to demonstrate this can be found (along with a bunch of broken links, am just playing with this site) here eBay tag cloud and using it I have developed a list of >1million unique retail related keywords. Learn to use the eBay API at the quick start guide. We have also created free code samples that anyone is welcome to use and are maintained and improved by the eBay community of developers.
I'd definitely agree with the market data point as well and if you want to do any heavy lifting then we have huge datafiles you can buy at our marketdata site
I hope that's all useful guys if you have any questions I am aschultz at eBay dot com
I'm a big fan of this site and so I hope I can give a little value back with the above resources!
eBay's Marketplace research is also a great program to mine the eBay data. You can find a ton of information (when it's working correctly). I think there is a 2 day pass for approx. $3.
thanks. I owe you one :D
thanks for the ebay tip. I knew there had to be some way to mine that data
